Crank up the speakers to hear people joining Yes, that's a very valuable piece of advice, especially if there is a T1 player in the lobby. What happens is that most people join, see him on one of the teams, then either try to join the same side, or exit the game. Sometimes I was trying to get the game with either Renz or Kira on one of the teams for 20 min+. So it can be a long and frustrating venture, especially during EU daytime (most
Unfortunately, the lobby game can be decently long, however.. there are other times when it can go by rather quickly. Often I'll join or host and then go take a piss.. briefly check the lobby, then have a smoke.. check the lobby.. and browse the internet while checking back frequently. So while Demigod doesn't always favor straight playing.. it incorporates breaks in between game play to get other stuff done.
Yeah, the lobby game can be a pain in the @$$. I haven't pl
baddaddy left vent you silly goose. I wouldn't bail like that ! Im available all week after 9pm EST or so and this upcoming weekend as well.
Yeah, you guys were all in one room, and then some people weren't and then we were in another game and then I had to go to bed cause I had to get up in a few hours. It got all confused. I'll take the blame for that one.
Download and install this mod: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/396054 This will make the AI play a much closer approximation to a human opponent. The way the AI is programmed out of the box is like practicing tennis to get ready to play football. With this mod, it is like playing high school football to get ready for the NFL, but at least it is the same sport. With this, your teammates will buy all of the necessary
Anyways.... For there are teams out there that are being DQ'd or are on probation - do you typically have 1 player who just can't make the matches? I would love to be an alternate for your team! Baddaddy? MAxsteel ?
If you want to try and play with Trouser and Chiefy, they'd probably love to have you... but you'd have to do all the coordinating, since they are both the, "Sure, whatever you say," types. If you are interested, let me know. Not sure how the r
sorry to hear that. So is that an official "We are out of the tourney" message?
Unfortunately, yes, it is. [e digicons]X([/e] I hate to have to do it, but we're just not getting our games in, and I think it is just going to get harder for the next few weeks. I hate to bail on something like this, but I'd rather do that than put you guys through the annoyance of putting us on probation, taking us off, putting us on, and then finally booting us in a couple of we
Yeah, it doesn't look like it is happening for us. We all seem to be available different nights. I also started a three-week graduate course yesterday which is going to probably take up all my non-working/sleeping time.

As a general there is nothing more annoying than looking up every 7 seconds to see that Occ has chain lightinged all the way back and fried your monks yet again, and you have 22 seconds till you can summon them again, while he pushes you off the flag. Against certain Dgs, yeah the Bishop Rush is
I know its not related, but if your on Soccermom's team and wanna get under his skin, blow a few consumables while hes watchin
Lol. Yeah, the names suck. The potion of speed could be weaker, sure.
We all know that DG has some consumable that are used non-stop (sigils, scrolls, locks, etc.) some that are used situationally (pots early game, UG, totems) and some that are rarely used (i can't even remember what they are, which should prove my point.) Anyway, I had some ideas for new consumables that would help with some over-all balancing issues (maybe, or they might create new one) and also add a little more variety and fun. I haven't looked through all these posts, so forgive me if thes
So as far as I understand it, we are not eliminated at this point, despite only having 3 games in. With that in mind, it looks like we will be on around 9pm-11pm EST tonight (Tuesday) if anyone is looking for a tournament game. If not, we'll just be looking to get some good games in.
Please no flaming here guys.
You're right. No reason to play their game.
After yet another game where an FC player acted like a douche (First Blood rage quit), I was wondering what the FC stood for, so I came over here to check. I assumed it stood for "F$%7ing C&%$s." It seems I was wrong. And yes, most of them are better players than me. Congratulations. Too bad they can't be better people. Looks like we're not going to get our games in. Trouser was "away" all weekend, and Chiefy is unavailable today.
Yeah - I don't deal all that well with frustrating crap when I've been enjoying a few tasty beverages... sorry you had to listen to my constant focus on kalel's stubborn butt. He needed to go back to base more often than he should have due to limited mana... shame there is no favor item that can remedy that problem. But anyway, good win for you guys. This wouldn't have been a replay I'd have posted if we won btw. I was certainly wanting to be competitive, but my main goal was tryin
Anyone opposed to having jongalt replace lord_orion as the alternate for the decision making panel?
Jon deserves it. He's done as much work as anyone except pacov getting this thing together.
Sadly, I think that triple kill was the direct result of a missed Shield opp on my part that might have made that fight go the other way, or at least not quite so badly against us. However the 35 minutes of, "Are you going to pick a favor item?" "No." "Why not?" "Because." "Are you going to pick a favor?" "No." "Why not..." did get to be pretty amusing. Too bad the replay doesn't capture that.
Good points. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Yeah, Chiefy is a pretty hardcore Blood Beast player. He has played BotS, but swears by Blood. He is always open to trying to get better. He hates losing. My Oak build is pretty much the same as rawwrrr posted back in the day: by 10, max pen, max, surge, Shield 3, DJ, then Spirits, DJ and SP after that. It does slow down around 7-12 but if I have kept up on levels, it is pretty powerful once the spirits get up. Th
Our go-to combo had been what you guys ended up playing (kinda). I play standard hybrid Oak, Chiefy plays Ub and that leaves Trouser playing DA or Reg, (so far, always Reg.) We got rolled with that combo game 1 vs. jongalt so we tried me as Rook, Chiefy as Sedna and Trouser as Occ. So yeah, if it wasn't clear, in 2/3 of the games we've ever played, I've played Oak and Chiefy plays UB.
Think it took abt 5 minutes or so to find out what he had, which kept me from focusing snipes on him (he picked blade btw).
You couldn't figure it out because he hadn't... he didn't pick till like level 4-5. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
First of all, thanks for the tips guys. Much appreciated. As regards DG selection, Chiefy and I are limited by how many games we have had the opportunity to play (at least at a high level); we both play one DG pretty well, I couple decently, and a few more we are familiar with but wouldn't play vs. a skilled team. Trouser is skilled with all of them, but hasn't played for a while. Like, for some reason, I just don't get Occ, and always get raped when I play him. I went with Fire Tb pr
side note: both mine and soccer's builds tend to take off late game and suffer early.
Yeah, I've got to watch the replay. Once Ooze beastie starts getting 7-8k or more hps, he is hard to stop. Trouser got caught with his pants down [e digicons]:D[/e] a couple of times.
