Increasing Capital ship name length in Sins Modding Sins Forums

Im looking to increase the amount of letters I can use when renaming ships ingame, I have searched for a similar topic, but couldn't find it. I'd like to go from 13 up to 25, bearing in mind I don't MOD, so if anyone has managed to do this I'd love to know how.
