I wasn't aware that we were talking about lvl 10s, since this chart shows the superiority of the mazra at lvl 1:
There have been quite a lot of changes to Capital Ship abilities in 1.1, and the game has better balance. So I find more people using different Cap ships, as well as multiple Caps. Altho Cap ships are meant to be more of a support ship, it is interesting know how some of these abilities co
From the skill description's point of view this wouldn't make much sense. It's a telekinetic ability by the guardian's adepts to push away objects. And idea that just struck me is that there could be a target cap (if there isn't one already I don't think there

thanks for the quick reply! this goes for the armor too i guess? the armor just gets counted as whole and "increases" base hull points?

1. When upgrading a tech, lets say shields by 5% and the second lvl of that tech upgrades it by 10% does this mean the base amount is upgraded by 5% and that amount is upgraded by another 10%? Or does the base amount get upgraded by 5% with the 1st tech and 10% with the next tech adding to 15% of base shield? OR does it mean the base shields are upgraded by 5% with 1st tech and by another 5% of base shield to a total of 10% base shield? Example: (even numbers to ease t

Any balanced fleet will tear pirates and a fleet of flak apart.
actually I'm not talking about attacking anyone with the flaks. The topic was to keep the pirates controlled. The flaks work very well to draw fire and let you build your defensive structures since the construction frig is a low priority target (for some reason

I usually cap asteroids before killing the siege frig since i can kill it of faster than it can bomb those 300 starting health. It doesn't buy you a lot of time, but in the first 5 minutes the sooner you get them resource mines the better.

Or better yet, make mines be an upgrade of the planet. Each upgrade adds mine density around the planet. At max level, nearly the entire gravity well is saturated. I second that motion, that's brilliant.
/agree &nb

IDK but massing flaks normally does it for me. Sure it takes a while but the flaks are pretty tough and can wear them down without the pirates trying to go after your structures. Throw in a cap and you should be golden.

Something that has worked out very well for me is that i set myself a small group of planets usually around my homeworld to capture. the border planets being either choke points or next to uncolonizable territory/pirate bases so the enemy has to make more than one phase jump to reach you. Then have your fleet in the center of these few border planets so you can reach each planet quickly. And always get a few repair bays covering your buildings and each other to buy yourself time to defend. If

It'd be interesting to know whether the Radiance in the test was attacking straight forward with only plasma and beam weapons or forced slightely sideways by the player so the plasma guns, beams and laserbatteries could hit its ta

Chuck Norris doesn't push back your culture... He sucks your culture dry until the only culture remaining is the one devoted to Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris can attack ships that are in phase space.

would be fun if there were some maps, if that nemesis is ever introduced in an expasion where you have to play cooperatively in a scenario such as defend certain sectors or capture a specific system. because frankly i miss a campaign.

Definately Advent as favourite Very nice cap ships and fleet synergies (bubbleball ftw) as well as mostly nicely looking ships (TEC vessels are flying bricks -_-) And besides looking at the lore they seem to be the only race that is in a win situation... TEC is in a 2-front war getting killed Vasari are stalled by the TEC and a unknown menace is hunting them.

Guardian: Increase AM cost: yay Repulsion: fix the physics engine and maybe make ships powering their phase engines immune to the push Cap Carriers: Increase number of squadrons Illum: If nerfed to be on balance with the other LRF it should be optainable at an earlier tech lvl... its on tier 3 so it should be logical that it is the most powerful. I agree that it's too tough for an LRF so i'd opt for a reduce of hull. <
