Meh vasari can just go bombers against enemy starbases just like the other races. The orky IS strong offensively, particualry early game, e.g. if you are orky-rushed on your homeworld in a front line position. If a vasari player can get it up thats a helpful foot hold at the heart of an opponents empire.

Hortz you never said what version you are running..... I assure you the engine is not broke... its very scalable. My specs are similar to yours (excpet 3gb ram and a 8400M GS) and it plays perfectly smoothly. Kaltes: to you too have you downloaded Impulse and installed the latest update for sins?
Is your game fully updated? You need Impulse + a valid CD key to get the latest updates. I have an inferior machine in most regards (8400M GS *cough cough*) and sins runs smoothly for me. I am on vista... but I doubt that would account for the difference. Latest version is 1.17 for vanilla Sins btw
One issue Volt: I am 95% sure that deceptive illusion copies do 0.0000 dps, so they don't increase dps
Fendryx: you can see a breakdown of credit income by hovering over the credit counter. It takes quite a few trade ports but they make a huge difference when you have enough of them
you forgot the big fat number 1: smurf
You should only build enough disciples (maybe 1 or 2 though even this you might not need) to help with clearing planet militia before you can get illums pumping out. Put three weapons labs on your homeworld, you will need to upgrade logistics, and then start teching illums asap. If playing quickstart on a relatively small map its a good idea to scuttle your cap ship factory. After that point it depends what the enemy is doing. You should make sure you are scouting effectively in
what are some examples of the countless bugs in the game?
Yes they do but it still does slow down the pace of the initial game measureably, and it tends to be more difficult to aggresively persue neutrals early on or to cut off the enemy expand. And its a guaranteed 2 jump minimum for reinforcments for the attacking team (or 3 minimum if taking the fight directly to an enemy planet).
The two star set up negates the Vasari's main advantage: the ability to quickly build a fleet of assailants and such and quickly go on the offensive. The Advent require a considerably amount of teching to become a truely powerful force (e.g. to get guardians with repulse). Having two stars buys the time the advent need as jumping between systems is not a starting ability for any race (it has to be researched).
I was thinking about repulse and possible fixes and IMO it would be difficult to appropriately balance repulse through AM/recharge changes alone. I don't know if its been suggested before but how about a clause whilst repulse is active causing all incoming damage (or perphaps a certain % of it) to bypass the shields, this would allow long rage frigates and strikecraft a chance to take out guardians with the required speed making it difficult keep up a constant repulse shield or block ph
It does indeed... hmm wow I don't know the hotkeys for tactics management... *looks them up*
yes Doomy just hold alt and click on the correct ship type :)
Hi, I'm sure people playing online recently have noticed some funky things happening with ICO, I was online during two mass disconnects in a 6 hour period or so today, and experienced multiple bugs such as players bugging when making games (multiple copies of same player for instance). I'm just wondering if there is somethign specifically going on... :) :) :)
Yesterday I and some others were in a game with -X-, he refused to surrender despite having obviously lost, forcing us to mop up untill the last. I would give him a second chance, I just hope by telling others about this he will be on better behaviour from now on. :)
