SGU is not reality. Its very broken and misunderstood characters trying to sell themselves as real.

To be honest I dont think either or is better or worse, I think they need each other. Bombers need fighters to cut through the enemy flak and fighters so they can do their job. And Fighters need Bombers to deal heavy damage that they cant provide. I always go 60% Bomber 40% Fighter. That way theres a balance. Plenty of fighters to defend bombers. And plenty of bombers to completely devastate an enemy.
i really cant stand it when i place 10 mines near a phase lane, and one or two of them land on the opposite side of the damn GW near one of my static defense platforms, making me scuttle the damn thing.
and how is flak going to do anything? they arent even capable of being utilized they go where they damn well want to. And flak wont stop a light frig or bigger smash it. It might get lucky once and awhile and heavily damage a single SC but it surely wont stop it from being destroyed.
im not worried about the actual damage done, cause i dont think they should be able to smash frigates in one shot, but the fact they can be seen without even using scouts means their completely useless because you can avoid them until your ready to engage them.
ive ran Kols through 10 or so mines one after the other and the most it did was suck the life out of the shields. But never did any damage to the hull Also I highly doubt someone would be able to predict where ships will travel that they line up more then 4 or 5 mines along the same line so that the ships are constantly hitting them. So like I said, mosquito bites. I think Ive only lost Scouts to mines because sometimes they smack mine after mine, but anything bigger has been ab
i really dont see the need for weapons to be added to civilian ships. They have no place on the battlefield, but just like in real life, they get caught up in the cross fire or are targetted because of their role that supports their opponents.
the mines arent fine, they have no real tactical value in defending the GW. A starbase does its job. but mines are literally mosquito bites to ships with shields and hull. The only ships that take a beating from any minefield is Pirates. Making them a waste of your money even if they were made cheaper.
it doesnt disturb you people are jumping bodies and using them for sex.........i think id be pissed if someone used my body to have sex with their wife or life partner.
right now, my only use for mines are anti piracy and to direct my enemies fleet to a particular area in the gravity well that sets them up for an assualt. Forcing them to stay and fight because of PJIs and a field of mines surrounding their escape route. But I always wondered why as an enemy without scouts I could see the damn mines. It made no sense. I definitely think they should be invisible til they are detected by scouts. Other wise the only reasoning for a scout is for ships to target t
I actually remember downloading the original STO demo back before cryptic picked it up. It looked interesting, but since then it looks like Cryptic has put some work in and its going to actually continue the storyline instead of parralleling the already established shows. I look forward to it dropping and Ill be picking it up.
yeah, i still dont like the idea that for me to be filled in on things they decide not to put in the episodes, I have to go look them up. Just ridiculous.
then explain the episode before it, cause they actually never solved their problem.
I think you guys are mistaking the asian chick (not the IOA lesbian but the Scientist) for Chloe...The Asian chick fucked Greer and the other airmen. But regardless another wasted hour. And for what? Rush to continue to set into concrete hes an ass and not to be trusted and Young to knock the shit out of Telford. I think that 10 seconds was the only interesting bit in the entire show. Everything else was blah. Like usual, and the fact they left the last episode incomplete
pretty nice when you can just pop in the CD and listen to your favorite tunes from SINs
I think it makes sense the TO declares how long someone serves. The individual states in the U.S. dont decide how long their states Representatives and Senators serve. However, the states do decide who represents them, and how many times. Same thing with the TO worlds, they might not get to choose how long the individual terms is but, they still decide who represents them. Now this will probably get shot down, but what about instead of individual planets sending representatives. A Sys
Im with CI here on the issue of representatives. If their going to represent their planet in Trade Order Council of sorts, The individual governments would have to bow to the TO considering its being kind enough to allow them to hold their own governments and isnt that involved with what goes on within the planet. If you wanted someone on the Council, theyd have to follow the rules set down by the TO itself about how long the rep would serve. As well his individual powers and his limits

it would allow for some of us Lore writers to put it into effect.
if they kept the campaign to a point where it was managable, as in once you have researched everything you dont have to research it again and again. as well, maybe break the whole campaign map down as sectors. and once a sector is locked in the other factions couldnt do anything in any other sector til the fate of that sector was decided. Of course all frontline sectors would be contested and you might find yourself defending the same sector more then once. but really it be hard to expl
ima have to disagree Thaltos, if we open one thread with the different stories being written it be hard to make heads or tails which chapter belongs to which storyline. A fanfiction Section in the Boards would be nice on the other hand though. It allow us to concollidate the long and short stories that litter the forums.
another shameless plug for MP sanchez haha but I agree, the AI does need to bring players much closer to MP play.
Im trying to do some research for the second chapter. Finding it hard to get an actual number on a Naval Squadron. Dont want to just throw numbers up there only for it to make no sense. I already have it worked out in my head just dont want to start on it til I have everything. Thanks for the support guys.
How does women come into connection with TDN? The point there was that those who write up scifi and war stories. change small bits to add in attractivness to their stories. But not things so small that no one will notice. TDN is a passing thought. Really TDN is so insignificant in the lore it has no attractiveness in wether its Navy or Network. The Devs arent going to change something that insignicant to grab for more capitvation. Youd see it in the storyline. Not somethi
i bet alot of people would go see that. It actually let us see alot more lore then the little we have.
