i was playing as tec in a lager 1 on 1 game and i had the planet sheild gen on my home world because the ai was kicking my butt. it didnt seem to stop the bombardment very much and the tech was at max level. why is that?

i wonder if i was to go easy on the other factions and let them live for say 1 week in game time and see if they would build the ultimate weapons
well i couldnt do that wrong race any way i was vasari. now this is a little off my old topice but do the ai ever use or even study the ultimate weapons and build them or not never seen the ai with any.
i won i ended up using a good amount of long range missle ships using the range and damage ablity slowing the turn speed and stoping the ships but i was able to start hitting them before they could get in range with their weapons and now the pirates are dead and now its time to finsh off the ai
When chuck norris wants your planets they just convert over to his side and as for your fleet he just claps his hands the shock wave from it distroys all

ive been playing a game for a few days with a 2v2 on the huge muti map of soase with the pirates on and its getting to the end of the game and ive lost my allie that was helping keep the pirates off me and him but now the pirates are down to 1 base left but its where they keep coming from and when i went to distroy them there was a few hundred there and i had 3/4 of my fleet go and attack them head on and im the alien race and i was useing the enforcers about 90 of them with a lvl 10 cap the
lol same pic but yes it is very annoying when your falling back or going to attack the other player when they are distroying my planets or buildings or going to fend off pirates it does need to be improved mostly the caps any thing else they do fine
lol ships are dumb on all the games for sins the other day my capital ship tryed flying thru a planet on soase it sat there for 5 mins trying to go thru then it turned. also the fighter need fixing they fly thru the objects like factory refinerys and planets and trade ports

never mind i fixxed the problem some thing to do with a files i just deleted every thing off my computer to do with sins of a solar empire and reinstalled works now
just last night my game went belly up every time i would load my saved game it would minidump and it seams to be when i have the pirates set to active it would dump what with that i never had this problem before every thing worked great before 1.181 for sins orignal then the minidumps started showing up before last night they would show up at least once a day most often the first time i would start up the game and load a save. any one have a way to fix this im runing windows 7 ultimate.
on the same topic of actvaiton codes my friend bought the entrenchment and got the download and gave me a copy of the installer because of my slow internet how would i go about buying an activation code for it would i just buy the game normaly and get the code that way?
no i was trying to join different people my friend wasnt on then and i wouldnt know if they are useing a mod if they where what one would it most likey be?
i have a problem with my sins of a solar empire i have only the orignal game no entrenchment add on and i have the V: 1.181 installed and when i go to join a game it says: Your game data differs from the game host check for updates why is this can some one help me with this problem?
ok thats good to know what freeware programs would be best i could only find the Autodesk Softimage programs to make ths xsi files i found that i can access the info on the enity files with note pad and edit those slowly working out the info on that and how would some one make new techs to use with pirates and fix the lables that say what it is?
im new to the idea of making mods for games and i was wondering how i would go about making my own ship designs and other ideas of mine to make the game more interesting if any one can give me information on how to do this and what modling programs can be used that will be great and im also will to and any ones thoughts on what should be added to my mod i will try to add it and give credit to any contrubuitons.

well i like the advent personly because of the sheer power but with the killing of the captol ship as said by birdman it doesnt seem to happen to often when i play they just keep going untill they win or they all die. i keep a close patrol on the system star to keep the other players and ai out if not my allies but on unfair ive seen in upwards of 4 captol ship come in out of hyper space. i find it a big pain in the neck when that comes around to the end of the game.
