Same here Elonin. Problem is, with the huge SCALE of this game wasting time micro'ing your ships is time that could be spent elsewhere. Attacking on another front, managing your economy, etc. And I dislike having to manage my forces cause they're too stupid to realize when to run, especially after I told them to in the first place.

That would be preferable. Or just take up the last ordered action while it was disabled. I've lost more capitals because I go back to figure out why it hasn't jumped yet, thinking they probably disabled it to find it just sitting there in the middle of 30~ ships and it's fighting back instead of running like I told it to in the first place.

How about this? I mean, right now let's look at the stats for the Antorak's Distort Gravity ability (Sorry, if I am turning this into a "Fix that" thread) Distort Gravity incrases speed by 33/66/100%, increases acceleration by 50/100/150% and decreases the range for phase jumps by 8/16/25%. How about change that to say, something slightly less and turn it into a passive? Say: Distort Gravity incrases speed by 15/25/35%, incr

From what I've seen so far with these abilties (Ion Bolt, and the like), it's a great ability. However, when I'm making a runb for the cap ships life, is there a way to make the stupid %&#$@*& capital start to run for the edge of the gravity well AFTER it's been disabled. i.e. The disabling ability has worn off. Have any of you found out that after a capital has been hit with this, they'll start to attack whatever is nearest to them? This isn't my problem however, due to the f

On that B5 one, not entirely sure what to do with it. It seems it has chapters and not an actual game. Any pointers?

Okay, so call me whatever you want, this is not my opinion, rather an observation but from what I garner from reading the forums is that most members believe that the Advent are some form of OP. Am I incorrect on this?

So this may be a stupid question, but why exactly is repulsion so OP?

I suppose so. I'm trying to figure out if I want to primarily go for one of these two builds for my front line starbases: Full Weapons (2 Slots) Full Armor (3 Slots) 1 Disorient (1 Slot) 2 Meteor (2 Slots) OR Full Weapons (2 Slots) Full Armor (3 Slots) 2 SC Upgrade (2 Slots, mostly fighters vs long range frigates and Orgevs) 1 Meteor (1 Slot) Whatchu guys think?

Yeah, once I started to think about it (although the repulse idea with the Guardians is AWESOME) there are alot of ways I could have handled it better. However I was pretty stupid when it came to upgrading that starbase. I just like asking questions apparently, so in your opinion is there ever a time to upgrade a starbase with Culture, and if so, how many and when? And I think I've decided to stick with Weapons/Armor/Meteor/Disorient for upgrades

Does the last weapon upgrade allow the starbase to attack Ogrev's? It says it allowed the starbase to attack at "extreme range."

I'm such a retard. I didn't even think of bombers. Duh! As for the questions regarding the star base, I just wanted to know because for some reason I fully upgraded culture on a front line star base. Mucho stupido? It got nuked decently fast, and I wished I had done meteor and disorientation. But for front line, what upgrades would you do?

Okay, so playing a game with a friend as Advent against his TEC. Found out that their starbases are REALLY annoying. I just have one question to ask, any pointers on how to kill their starbases without your fleet being wiped out in the process? Considering that the building buster cruisers for the Advent (Judicators) cannot fire from out of the explosions range (Self-Destruct), how would I go about destroying one without sustaining a huge hit to my military? &nb

That's what I thought. Wasn't entirely sure if we had an explore functionality... Which would make an awesome addition *winkwinknudgenudgesaynomoresaynomore* to the devs. I wouldn't mind putting together a small fleet to explore rather than having to replace my scouts every 5 minutes later on in the game.

In "Game Options" menu before actually setting a game up, there is a 'Fleet Size' option. After setting it to low, and going into a game, I noticed I can still go up to maximum fleet size. What does this change if not the amount of ships people are allowed?

First of all, bugger off Cent. Everyone thinks that and I think very lowly of those who do. So you failed the test. Secondly, I run on lowest graphics to be safe and I vary between comp stomping and against humans. I lag in both. And ping ranges anywhere from 50-500 depending on who I play with. Same issue, it lags mid-game.

Okay, so I have plenty of speed when it comes to my upload/download speeds. But when I play on Skirmish with no other humans, I don't lag at all. However, when I play online with my friends I lag when I hit mid/late-game... Also, it's not normal lag (i.e. internet based lag) due to the fact that the units don't freeze, just my computer doesn't notice me clicking until 2-3 seconds later... Anyone know why this is? Specs: 2.4 P4 ATI 3650 HD <p

Okay, so far this has happened around 5 times or so. And at random moments as well. Playing the game, and it just freezes. I can HEAR the rest of my computer working (I can hit the Start button on my keyboard and I hear the computer moving the cursor) and I can get into Task Manager, however it will not show it. It remains behind SINS. Can someone please help me with this? Trying to run it in Windowed mode tonight to see if it fixes the matter.
