After playing a quick 3v3 with Oli the other day, the discussion came around to Advent's Iconus Guardian Repulsion. Although this same topic is come up again and again, he seemed to have some very different opinions that I knew weren't correct when it comes to countering Repulsion as an Advent player. 1. Illums are still in range while being repulsed. FALSE. Even with fully upgraded beams (meaning a 12% range increase), Illums come no where near to

To actually answer the question, corvettes counter VL titan, but will be decimated by the SB. Therefore, your next action depends on your faction. Probably the most complicated solution is if you're advent, you could build a fleet of Iconus Guardians with Repulsion to separate the SB and the titan from one another (with a Radiance to drain the titan's antimatter so it can micro-jump), focusing your corvettes on the titan and your Subjugators/bombers (preferably bombers) on
When was the last time half these players were even online? I haven't seen Dumdeedum or KFear in months...
There's only one way to counter the mini-dump spam, and it's a closely held secret of mine. There's a key combination that just rapes all their units and wins you every battle, but it can only be used at the immediate start of each match. As soon as the game loads, repeatedly press Alt+F4. Presto. You're now everyone's first and favorite choice in 5s.

Yeah, I've had similar problems here recently. Literally, the past 3 games I've played have ended with either a minidump or somehow losing connection to Ironclad Online (sending me back to the main menu). It is pretty bad...
Over the past year or so I've started asking people if they've heard of or play SOASE, and to my surprise, I've come across quite a few. They rarely play multiplayer though for the same reason: it's not spamming, or the fear of being raped, its time. They all play singleplayer (in which a game could last for days) and fear how long a multiplayer game would last. When they do play multi, it's - of course - usually with friends, although I've been
Banning isn't going to solve anything, as they will just create a new account and start all over. Just give it a month or so and everybody will be out for the summer. I haven't been on since early January, but once classes are finished I - as I imagine most people - will return to playing. The exact same thing happened in December, if you recall. Lobbies were dead and tensions were high, but then Winter Break came on, and it was game on. Same thin
I don't even know why I just clicked on this thread.... wasted life...
Should I even mention the thread relating to Sleeper never leaving games, in which Sin decides to pull a full 180 on this very topic? No, I need not...
I've always personally wanted to make a chart representing what Titan abilities should be upgraded on each level. So here we go. I'm not confident on some of the choices, so feel free to comment and change. As a basic starter: Hull is always one of the first 2 upgrades for any titan on any level (as long as it is available). The next ability should be one that uses antimatter (so that it at least has an ability to use), but that rule is disrega
I agree about cooldown on lower levels though, thats a killer. Still, on top level, it allows you to drop 3 gates inside 20 minutes of time and these are good enough to reinforce vast bulk of your fleet almost instantly.
In what multiplayer scenario is having the capability of using an ability a mere 3 times in 20 minutes a go
Sounds pretty awesome. I will definitely get it once it's officially out on Steam. I'm glad the devs are adding more to the game, but the question is, should they continue on cool little addons or start on a Sins 2 (the introduction of the Vasari's nemesis along with a campaign/storyline compatible with both single and multiplayer, perhaps)? Gotta love brainstorming....
Nerfing bombers by buffing fighters is a mistake - just sayin'. If you play any 5s games, you will quickly realize that bomber spams last only temporarily because the best counter is a fighter spam. Then what happens? Everyone spams fighters instead of bombers, meaning that an overall buff to fighters would make bombers practically useless late game. One option I see in this is to give fighters a damage boost to bomber-specified targets. But even now

True, but what the hell is the reason for it? the KOL is the symbol of this game, and it is the worst TEC capitalship?...
Well, you obviously never tried an Akkan start properly, that ship is the second best TEC ship after the Marza, and the best starter with good support abilities.
Akkan is by far the second best cap ship for TEC. A lvl 6 Akkan with Armistice is incredibly useful, as long as you micromanage. Targeting Uplink is amazing on the higher levels, especially if you're someone who likes to spam lrfs. I'll try the .fbx. Blender can't import .fbx directly, but I found an .fbx to .obj converter, so I'll try that. Here's the Ankylon: <a href="http://oi43.ti

Hey, axxo2. I've wanted to do this for quite some time, so I have to thank you for asking the question. Turns out, this is quite easy to do; I just did it in about 3 minutes with a Kol Battleship in Blender, and I am by no means a master at the program. Now, unfortunately it seems that the

What exactly do you mean as in a logo? Where would it go, exactly - in replace of our Steam profile pictures?
I dont understand what this "rush" deal is. More often then not it is the standard opener used by experienced players.
Yes, nowadays standard opening is to hit your closest opponent hard and fast. And, yes, the term "rush," as you said, Sin, is essentially a general opening. However, to new players (like the one who created this thread), that "standard" strategy is still tremendously overwhelming when all you'
I have recently heard that the hard ai is the exact same as the normal, just with an economy boost (like a times 3 multiplier for all resources). Now, if you want to practice against rushes with ai, then be sure to put it on aggressive/offensive setting, not on random (which could place it on defensive, which would not serve you're purposes well).
When it comes to MP, the first 30 mins of gameplay usually determines the rest of the game. By that time, the players that are going to die have been identified (as in, there's already a larger fleet barreling down their front door) and fleets are starting to reach tier 2 or 3. Therefore, it is important to have a strong military early game, but this depends on your location. So, here's some general advice... For Starting Fleet: For TEC, the starting
