Geez Brad, I hope I didn't give you the impression that I was upset, disturbed, angry, hurt or going to lose any sleep over this! Ok, Ok, some of my friends think I'm disturbed but that doesn't matter here now does it. :-o I was, in fact, just plain old giving my opinion which I sometimes happen to do well. I apologize if I came across as anything else.

Okay, here's my two cents... While ESS may have said things a little too bluntly and I believe he is wrong in several respects, he does have some valid points. You will NEVER, EVER please everyone. AND, as I've said before, if you want to run banner ads or such, keeping the user count high is a priority. HOWEVER, giving points for commenting skins has it's pitfalls. I can see some people who add no other value to a site running around leaving dozens of "Kewl dude" comments just

I agree with both jark and gorman... Keeping users has to be a priority for many sites. After all, hits matter when it comes to getting advertising. However, since many of these users may be a little reluctant to actually put the effort in on using some intelligence, approaching this in a more pacifying way may have avoided such rebellion. For some people the line between making them understand and insulting them is way too fine. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/

I don't agree with everything here... My sisters and I were raised by our mother who stayed home. Yes, this caused us to experience the "dig through the couch for money to buy milk" and the "push start dads car so he can get to work" thing too. Sure, having mom around all of the time had it's advantages. And even though we were what I would consider poor, I wasn't jealous of my friends. However... when it came time to leave the roost and actually do some things on our own, the

It's a well known fact that comments take extra effort. Downloading is a simply mouse click or two. Comments require typing and some measure of thought. Therefore, they are viewed by many of us as "bonus points" regardless of thier content.

Damn it Russ! Who asked you to make sense anyway? :-o Russ makes a good point... However, these other people usually get paid for their work. Sure, most of us do what we do for love (or whatever you'd like to call it) but... I still say it wouldn't hurt to hear what we should already know. Pride... that too is human nature.

Well I have 8,321 downloads on my Solace in Blue skin and the only three comments ledt came from people I already know! That means only .036 percent of downloaders took the time to comment. Geez, when I like something, I make sure I take the time whether I download it or not. Course I remember this debate from another "ex"-site.

I may be coming in here late and this may have been asked/said before... Everything I see from this author is Microsoft related. Is she a MS employee or has she just lost her way? I am NOT saying I don't see talent, I am by no means in a position to judge such. I will say this... I'm sorry but I am so tired of hearing or seeing anything XP related that I refuse to even look at the stuff anymore. *** covers face and runs like a cheetah for the door ***
