I fell for a fake Microsoft Tech Support scam the other day. I haven't found any lingering effects so far, but I am going to dispute transactions when my bank will let me. With stuff like this happening, it doesn't surprise me that the world is headed in such a negative direction.

Never mind, I saw a couple of YouTube videos where people actually went through the scenario lists in Rebellion and even Outlaw Sectors, though creating articles for all of the new maps are still needed. Can anyone tell me about the new maps in Rebellion, specifically the max number of players, their order in the scenario groups, and which scenario group they are in. I am guessing the Competitive variants are next to the original version and I think I know which scenari

After Supreme Commander Gold got switched to Steam only without any notice, I have very little faith that most developers and publishers even have a choice anymore. Most PC games sold in stores nowadays are require Steam, defeating the advantages of a physical release. Other than Blizzard and EA, most developers and publishers don't even try to support their own games without Steam. Those two facts are what scares me about Steam.

The only reason I haven't backed SC is I don't have a computer capable of handling it at all. So from my point of view, I would be wasting my money, because I won't be getting any of the benefits of backing any time soon, at least until I get a top of the line computer. Now, if SC hadn't blown all of their funding goals out of the water and then some, then I might have backed SC to support that dream. But since SC is doing just fine, I don't feel like I need to back it, be

The way they almost always showed Homeworld 2, besides the Homeworld campaign, had me expecting that. What unit functions did they change, do Support Frigates and Repair Corvettes at least repair? Did the modernization of the UI at least entail things like making the Manager hotkeys work from each of the other Managers instead of just from the standard view and making control groups capable of being disbanded or cleared by deselecting units and reforming the control group?

Well, at least one will be able to use anything one owns in the PU in Arena Commander and the FPS Module without any strings attached, which makes sense considering they are in-universe simulators and, therefore, allow for the ability to experiment in a safe environment.

The graphics are indeed dated, but there isn't anything quite like commanding a fleet of equal numbers of Assault and Ion Cannon Frigates, anchored by a pair of Destroyers and a Heavy Cruiser, escorted by eight Multi-Gun Corvettes and squadrons of Interceptors and Attack Bombers, and support by four Support Frigates and a Carrier. The backstory to Homeworld is also excellent, especially the history of Kharak and the design of the starship technology.

I got HW around the time HW2 was released, but since the GotY Edition only ever had a teaser for Cataclysm, I wasn't really aware of HW2, beyond finding the demo years later, and I didn't obtain Cataclysm either. The nerfing of support into oblivion by removing support frigates and giving that functionality to resource collectors instead, and of course the "glass cannon" frigates, were my problems with HW2. I actually kind of like the idea of strike craft being squadrons inste

The stark difference between Homeworld and Homeworld 2, removing Support Frigates/Repair Corvettes and making Frigates extremely weak, was enough to tell me what can happen when the sequel is vastly different from the original.

I mentioned I wanted an Aurora ES, a F7C Hornet, and a Constellation Andromeda for a reason, because they personify my dreams of flying the Millennium Falcon , an T-65 X-wing starfighter, and Serenity , though I would like to at least be a crew member on some of the larger ships eventually.

Unless I can get a job, there isn't much I can do about getting involved in Star Citizen. I would definitely start out with an Aurora ES, then work my way up to also obtaining a F7C Hornet and a Constellation Andromeda.

Star Citizen is a space sim, a space sim where everything has been created to visual fidelity of a top of the line first person game. I would have already backed years ago if I was confident I could obtain a computer capable of handling it any time soon.

Has anyone else noticed how the Galactic Guides since Goss haven't been grouped under Galactic Guides in Transmissions? Its been bugging me for some time, but since I am not a backer or anything like that, I can't easily contact anyone at CIG about it.

Well, then there is me, a poor little FNG who could never get my foot in the door and is consequently never around, which makes me little more than an extra. Despite the fact I am the admin of the SoaSE Wiki.

After Fox canceled Firefly back in 2002, I am unfortunately not really that surprise they canceled Almost Human. The whole sci-fi genre has been in decline ever since Sci-Fi replaced Stargate Atlantis after a run of only five seasons with Universe, which ended up not having what made SG-1 and Atlantis the shows Stargate fans enjoyed and ultimately contributed to abandonment of the third SG-1 film Revolution and the first Atlantis film Extinction.

As others have alluded to, this is one of the changes made for the Special Edition from 1997 and subsequent editions that have been released since then.

I got very irritated when I got switched over to Outlook/Office 365, and I have been wishing I could have Hotmail back ever since. I will not be using Windows 8 when I get a proper computer of my own if I can help it, because I still use XP on a daily basis, and barely even got use 7 when my school upgraded.

I technically have the money to get a decent computer for such a purpose, or to at least get a decent graphics card and some more RAM for my current computer, but I kind of don't want to use those funds until I have a source of income that is more substantial than mowing my grandma's lawn and shoveling her driveway. Stardock is a little bit out of my way, and until I finish my Master's, I would prefer not to have to move for a job, unless it is a really attractive opportunity. Wor

[quote who="boshimi336" reply="187" id="3394706"]Zeta, just from a curiosity standpoint and hoping to be of some help. What would be your computer build budget say, by Christmas next year? The reason that I ask is that in the last year or so prices for good performance have dropped significantly. I'm not trying to pressure you or anything, just trying to gauge how up to speed you are with the newer pc market-place and where you may be at with a hypothetical bu
