[quote who="Darvin3" reply="6" id="2895534"] It isn't the capitalist way to bail out a private company To be fair, pure market capitalism is nothing more than abstract concept. It's become the mantra of the right-wing recently, but only when it's convenient for them and their policies. Any viable economic system is a hybrid of government institutions/regulation and market forces, and the discussion of where to draw the line along this spectrum has no clear-cut answers.<b

A surprise attack by two nations most others assumed did not posses a global war capability began WWII. Sudden change is a given at all times its just difficult to determine the exact "when". We certainly are living in times like pre-WWI & II...anything can happen. I think most people underestimate how momentous the change happening right now really
Thanks to the Distant Stars Wiki, I was able to add the missing Diplomacy Research Trees and update the existing Research Trees. The research effects on primarily the vanilla trees need to be written in plain English instead of code, but other than that they are looking good.
One thing bugging me, it is Deploy not Diploy.

That is what I thought, extracting useful information is about the only thing that needs to be with the SoaSEWiki pages. I hope an admin can be reached, I already had to redirect a misnamed version of the SoaSEWiki:Percheron Light Carrier page. If not then I will request an admin position, I probably should do that on <a title="Homewo
Based on what you described, the AI must have surrendered. The exact conditions are difficult to explain, because the AI isn't consistent.
The TEC do remind me a lot of Terran in that respect.
I will play with people on vanilla even though I am not exactly new, I will either go by Zeta1127 or Dragoenix Order.
Have your researched Fleet Supply and Capital Ship Crew upgrades? Mines are definitely a potential culprit too.
What are the pacts like right now? My Ideas: Logistics Pact: Similar to the Tactical Pact, except for Logistics Structures. Technology Victory: Better name for Research Victory.
Well, Terran is similar to Vasari in that Zerg and Advent, respectively, are weak against them, the match up against Protoss and TEC, respectively, is a lot better, but the balance is far worse in SC2 than it is in Sins. I also noticed that Zerg and Advent, respectively, both have problems with the AI using them being comparable to dropping them down a level in skill. Just a few rough parallels I noticed between SC2 and Sins.
A thought just occurred to me, does Vasari Phase Missile OP remind anyone of Terran OP from StarCraft II? I don't have SC2, so I can't attest to Terran OP personally, but the similarities seem to be there, though, the balance here is definitely much better than what I have heard about in SC2. Apparently, the Domina Subjugator doesn't share that sentiment about autocast.
Why don't people still play Entrenchment more if Diplomacy is a mess? I have officially decided that I will be getting both of them in a few days, so expect to be seeing Zeta1127 or the Dragoenix Order soon enough.
This reaction is exactly the reason why I created this thread before I made a decision on buying Entrenchment and Diplomacy.

Zeta-Legion = me. Are pages like SoaSEWiki:Disciple Vessel the ones from the old http://www.soase.wiki.com ?

I am just tired of this screwing up everything that has happened since the NJO came out.
The Victory IIC-class carrier Star Destroyer should really be a Venator-class Star Destroyer, the Venator is more of a carrier than the Victory II could ever be; if you really want a battlecruiser, the Imperial-class Star Battlecruiser would be a better choice (the Eclipse 's escorts and the Allegiance from Dark Empire , almost certainly the Imperial Star Battlecruisers from the Imperial era).
Well, I am currently in the 98% at the moment.
Well, no one else is trying to fix errors like that. I am tired of seeing nonsense like the Eclipse and the Sovereign -classes just being Super Star Destroyers instead of Star Dreadnoughts like the Executor -class, the Imperial -class SSD and Allegiance from Dark Empire not being Imperial -class Star Battlecruisers with Allegiance the only named representative, and the Strident -class Star Defender being in the same l

The Deliverance Engine is useful in the right situation. I recently had an Advent mirror match against a vanilla Normal AI at Agamemnon's Bounty, I conquered my home system and the Agamemnon system itself including the wormhole, then took the enemy's Ice, and used a lot of Deliverance Engines to get the job done (I got Advent Harmony Researcher). If you target the right planet, and have a foothold with Temples of Communion in an enemy system, it can be a powerful tool for achieving victory. W
