Did anyone notice that there is factional diversity with the new planets? Oceanic - TEC Barren - Advent Ferrous - Vasari I am quite happy about that, now we just have to balance it out, assuming it isnt already. [e digicons]:)[/e]

You are basically suggesting a ladder. Sadly, there is none and the only way to judge peoples skill is the ammount of games they have played.
The reason that the 1.5 patch and DLC were release at the same time was due to the multiplayer compatibility bit that was put in, it was not an attempt to shore up DLC sales. I'd suggest being slightly less paranoid.
Yes, exactly... actually the 1.5 update - among other things - assures compability between DLC and non DLC owners.
In contrast stands a game like Natural Selection 2 which has received great - no, amazing support. Constant patches tweaking balance, news feeds from developers, major free content updates and so on. All this from the moment the game was released and with no sign of ending any time soon. Sins: Rebellion? A patch around release, then a patch here half a year later timed to come out same time this DLC is released.
WTF?<
well this crap blows....I just fracking bought this game...find a game play that I enjoy and oops nope you can't play that way...thanks for your money. un fracking believable!!!!
Your anger is understandable and I am sorry that you found yourself on the wrong end of a balancing change. Please try to understand that people were abusing the jumping Starbases in multiplayer to a d
Fortress World sounds nice, although i kinda expected its going to be Starbase related. Are there more cool bonuses as this one? In the GameInfo folder I saw something called DeathWorld and Weapon Testing Grounds...sounds interesting. Any clues what these do?
I would guess that those are Planet "Bonuses".
Guys, many of the new planet bonuses (and yes, there really are 40 new ones) require planet exploration (not all - many are detectable from orbit). In fact, any of the really good ones most definitely do. The cost to explore a planet was substantially reduced and the odds of finding something greatly increased to boot. My personal favorite is Fortress World - which adds the ability to field another starbase to the gravi
Also, I'm a bit confused as to why these roles are what they are. Logically speaking, shouldn't worlds with higher populations have more to contribute when it comes to trade? I know it's just a game mechanic, but I'm a bit baffled as to why having a higher population could hamper trade.
I think it is because your income is you selling products. Higher population means less indust

I welcome any change that makes trade port spamming a bit less the only choice. For population to outweight trade, you need to have some rather large ammounts of population. On the other hand, your first few planets usually dont have much tradeports anyway, as the space is needed for other stuff. I also love the industrial specialisation.... no longer it is entirely irrelevant where you build your fleet yards.

Sure, 5 dollars on top of the pile we've already sent them for four different versions of the same game. It's just 5 dollars, right? And another 5. And another 5. Come on, it's just 5 dollars! ... On the flipside, you modders should be a bit better at seeing it from the OP&#

Vasari Admiral... do the following: Start your desktop: Create a new folder on a hard drive with enough space. Call this folder "Rebellion 1.1. for Mods" (or something similar) Start your laptop... copy ALL Rebellion 1.1 files into the "Rebellion 1.1. for Mods" folder on your desktop computer. DO NOT OVERWRITE YOUR CURRENT GAME IN THE STEAM SUBFOLDER!. Open
I'm definitely of a mind to promote the usage of the DLC. It needs a few bug fixes however. I'm exceptionally glad Stardock/IC isn't like a bunch of other corporations, who would've given us even more bugs, and charged us $5-10 more for the same content. Lastly, the first time I saw a ferrous world I nearly pissed myself, and then after the shock wore off I felt like I probably broke
