Anyone else notice that new effect when a Titan enters a well? It looks like a shockwave..
All ships leaving phase space create a shockwave. It is just more visible for Titans as they are so large.
Quoting ARESIV, reply 43Same for 64 Bit.... If your game does not use more than 2 GB of RAM at anytime... there is no point or advantage in running 64 bit. If your using 32bit XP you likely don't have a full 2GB available for your game even if you have 4GB of RAM installed.
With standard settings cou can have exactly 2 GB of RAM for any game that is running. With a chan
Well, the Ragnarov gaus guns (red projectiles) has a rather large firing arc. Even if you are out of reach for the main rail gun the will mercilessly nail you. Combined with advanced maneuvering, it is very difficult to get the Ragnarov from behind.... its only weakspot. That the "secondary" gaus guns do nearly the same amount of damage as the 27km main rail gun isnt helping matters either. Right now balancing is somewhat flawed... nobody will ever bother to fire on the Ankylon when it is not
Nice to see EA burning. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for them.
Quoting Galacticruler5000, reply 26C&C 2 is Tiberian Sun, while somewhat buggy, its till better than C&C 3 because it was developed by WW, but budget and time were limited by EA and it got cut 75% through development. If you say so. I thought 2 sucked hardcore. 3 was actually pretty damn good except for being a rem
Oh wow... Okay rule number one..never admit the whole office is closed...I sleep better at night imagining there is a dedicated SWAT team of alpha techs monitoring the system 24/7. I know its more like the the level one B team that drew the short straws over the holiday weekend, but leave me to my delusions. Rule number 2...never say your looking into it after you say the office is closed...those 2 statements are incongruent.
The Z-Axis needs to STAY. This is a true 3D game and should be treated as such. A few things need fixing and all will be fine. Give the TEC Starbase the ability to shoot on all directions or implement the suggested slow spinning of it to allow targeting of ships over and under it. Same for Defense turrets and Phase Jump Inhibitors. All problems solved.
Sometimes you need to transfer large amounts of ressources to an other player. However currently you get only 100/250 per click. I propose a to change that value to 100/500 per click. Or even better Credits: 250/1000 Metall: 100/500 Crystal: 100/500 As noted in the "Dont let your wingman hang" post, you should transfer all your resources to your all
Wait, what? I was about to buy Rebellion, but i thought better check the Forums first to see what people say versus what is being advertised (as it didnt really tell me that much) and here i read there is no 64bit nor multi-core support (what i first assumed, but did not really know from the advertisement). Anyway as much as i appreciate this game and the developers, for that price, im properly gonna wait for Sins2. <
I am tired of people complaining about the fact that the AI cheats... [e digicons][/e] As long as there is no real artificial intelligence (thx god, the first thing they would build would be battle robots in real life) the AI needs to cheat, to be any threat at all.
if anything its nearly OP. 1. double SB all ur frontine gravity wells and pack em with mines 2. build massive fleet 3. build ankylon 4. You win either by going afk and waiting for other player to leave in frustration OR u move entire fleet to enemy gravity well and watch it not die, and slowly chew thru everything. Is it just me or does the Ankylon pale in comparsion to the Ragnarov? The main weakness of the Ragnarov is its relative fragility on low levels... that however can be nearly ignored with the support of a few Dunows or Hoshikos. It ranks up rahter quickly, too, because it kills anything in a amazing short time. The Ankylon however lacks any real firepower and while it is more robust on the lower levels its far lower firepower forces it to endure en
The Eradica is fine, about the only thing in this game that can deal with a high level ragnarow titan. The main problem is, that the Ankylon is just very very though.... but it has little else to offer for the late game. It weak firepower means that you have to rely on other ships to do the damage. Try the Ragnarow... it will do a lot more damage to the Eradica. The Eradica just feels op because the Ankylon and the Coronate
WotS is a very powerfull ability but it is highly situational and highly map dependant. You need a least a desert or terran planet to do reasonable damage and you loose it afterwards. On some maps it is basically useless because the only planet with enough population is your capital... on others it is truelly frightening. My suggestion would be to keep its current damage, possible an damage increase on smaller planets but: 1
Whenever a player left in one of my games... the AI replacement was no threat at all.... What I am doing wrong?
that they are suppossed to fight with culture. Culture has never been very strong in Sins and that is true for Rebellion too. For a faction that is supposed to gain massive strenght from culture, that is naturally bad. Lets face reality, even with all those sweet upgrades for your culture, it is not any difficult to hold permanently off. Most of the time, the enemy culture centers needed are there anyway to hold off the other players culture and to give the 10 %
Assimilated populace gives a 15 % damage increase for 10 minutes to all allied ships in the gravity well of the newly conquered world. That is very nice. However, the increased population grow is absoluty worthless. It saves you arround 10 seconds of time compared to a planet without the upgrade has reached the maximum population level. Suggestion: When this upgrade has been researched, give a new planet automatically the first population
People keep complaining that the culture spread rate of global unity is unimpressive. While that is true, having a few planets together with this upgrade will permanently save you the need to build any temples. Unless your enemy goes on a a fully cultural assault, your planets alone repell any hostile culture permanently. That is nice as it allows you to build more tradeports. Perhaps thats the entire idea of it? Still, for balancing purposes, I would suggest to
The best counter against mines is the Aeria of the AL. Captures mines at an most impressive rate. The only drawback is, that the mines are still there afterwards... still causing lag.
Sweet. Then every other starbase should cost a cap slot as well. Also remove the anti structure cruisers for the other factions. If the only way for the Vasari to assault structures and dug in positions costs a cap ship slot, so should everyone else's. If you are so intent on nerfing the end game enconomy of someone being fed by his allies, then have fleet supply tax apply to resource transfers. You can not, and will not
Runs perfectly fine for me on Windows XP SP 3.
