TEC is just straight forward in their design which makes it the easiest to "learn" not necessarily master.

How many threads does Sinkillr even have up at this point? I see a new one or two every few days it seems.
Sins of a Galactic Empire is probably the best bet for being the most balanced and faster paced of total conversion mods

At this point SoaSE should have died off yet it's still here. I doubt something catastrophic is going to happen anytime soon. There's a lot of more pressing issues other than funky netcode and servers that should be addressed. Like making the game 64 bit? Though it makes sense for Stardock to discontinue support of SoaSE at this point. They've done all they could (the last DLC puts them really close at the 2GB limit I hear) and need to do really. SoaSE is still one
Also I'm told you can remove DLCs with steam now, so I guess modding isn't strictly needed anymore.
Yeah if you right click your game and go to the DLC tab in properties, you can select which DLCs you want installed.
Using flak frigates against LRFs has also been a long standing thing for god knows how long.

It isn't some ego drive narcissistic nature. To be challenged is fun, otherwise its boring, but the outcome of that challenge is irrelevant, but to a individual who has a ego driven narcissistic nature to them the outcome is EVERYTHING, without the outcome they need there is no fun and they become a ra
While I haven't played MP, I have modded and done SP, reading the posts here I have come to the conclusion, that the problem with MP is a shrinking player base caused by yes glitches but also by skilled / veterans not wanting to recruit newbies because their ego driven, narcissistic competitive natures are getting the best of them, and newbies are being turned off by it and not sticking around. This is just a game folks its supposed to be fun
SoaSE in particular just has a weird history between MP players and modders (probably SP would be better) for some profound reason. I still fail to see how the two communities produce any symbiotic relationship to each other since they just keep to themselves in the first place. There is no interaction barring a few exceptions as Stilat would have us to believe. Is it as wide as psychoak makes it out to be? Most likely not. But there's was a pretty clear dividing line between the

I left the MP community due to just lost of interest to continue playing. The old core of players were leaving in droves after playing essentially the same game for a long long time. Joining the SoTP team and modding was the only thing that kept me going back to this game. And it still does. No matter how hard we tried it just ended the next day before anyone stuck around. Not to mention we were consistently frustrated, bored, and tired of it. It got to a point where we mostly threw o

How about you actually refute the points presented, instead of posting amateur shit like "MP pple too scary, they use mean words and hurt my feelings." When did that attack on the modders happen again? Is this something you pulled out of your ass and are now calling it fact? If anything, multiplayer players have a symbiotic relationship with modders, given the lat
What i meant was heavy initial support and the foundations needed for MP. All we need from the the game developers is a racetrack and a little push, and the community can take it from there. Stardock and Ironclad didn't even give us a tickle. Instead, they decided to pour poison on us (metaphorically speaking), with a few spikes along the dirt path.
More or less they just didn't put any road in t

It was tacked on admittedly.
I played the original sins a few years ago and loved it, as I remeber there was a single player campaign game. Does the new Rebellion have a single player campaign or is it just a bunch of short scenarios?
There was never a campaign for SoaSE even in the original.
Well you can judge for yourself much more closely this month. The tech demo will be available this month on Steam for all to try out. It's moddable so we're pretty excited to see what we can toy with.
You could contact Stardock support for this. They can answer your questions a lot more than we could. This isn't exactly something to go on the forums about.

There is a enabled mods text file in the download. Use that and just copy over the current one in the 1.80 mod folder.
