Oh dear lord. Hopefully ICO and the game won't do that to us. Then we have to give him the "it's a beta" excuse
Rovert10
Well yes and no. If you two are of equal skill it can quickly become a stalemate. The problem is more or less map balance.
Hmm I didn't realize there was another clan around in Sins. The only major clan that's still around is DT for Sins multiplayer I thought. Titans are a bit easy to get so in reponse they actually nerfed the titan at level 1 so you can actually kill it but it's still a pretty big game changer. Your only hope against it if it hasn't leveled and you arn't too good with micro and such is to build a fully upgraded starbase. A fully upgraded starbase will win against the
Quoting Yarlen, reply 45*confused* It uses Steam Friends...(or will - it may not be in your version yet). Yeah, but the in-game Friends from Diplomacy was just much easier to use and showed the names of games people were playing. Maybe I just don't know how to use the Steam Friends page properly.
No you are using it correctly just that Steam's community services isn't fully intergrated w
Having Sins shoutcasted atm is impossible for many reasons. - The community is way too small for such a thing. Sins doesn't have proper features on ICO for a much more competitive environment. - We don't have proper matchmaking like SCII - We don't have a proper clan system - ICO is sorta of unstable at times.
Well he has a subscriber base of 650,000+ on youtube. I know because I am one of them. [e digicons][/e] He is also one of the top starcraft commentators and game commentators in the industry.
Now idk if this will go through or not. But he seems to be hinting that he really is considering it.
Are you playing on Diplomacy or Rebellion because we have considerably higher numbers in Rebellion than we do on Diplomacy atm.
So after seeing his first stream and how he was a bit disappointed with the very slow pacing of his online game. He was playing FFA with just normal settings and frankly it didn't go so well for him or really anybody in general. So I tweeted him and invited him to try again with us 1-4 year veterans in a 5v5 match up. https://twitter.com/#!/Rovert40 https://twitter.com/#!/To
I have to wholeheartly agree with everything Mecha has stated. It seems that Stardock really isn't all that caring about the MP environment or that they are in a state of ignorance. The current system of setting up games on ICO and having them actually play for the first time around is extremely frustrating. I managed to powerdrive through it during the summer of 2011 when I had to play with all the veterans because there was nobody around. But it was actually pretty
Why the hell would you necro such a terrible thread. While I don't support Z-axis movement but seriously this thread needs to go.
hmm need to get this guy into some actual 5v5's...show him what this game is actually made of. Sure he'll be the fat kid, but he'll be our fat kid.
Lol don't even start.
Quoting Rovert10, reply 18I don't like Steam because it keeps track of all the hours I have spent on this game to the minute. A wee bit off topic, but okay. You might just want to play Trinity. Or are you alluding to the idea tha tyour wife can hold this evidence against you?
Maybe... but I am unsure as I don't have a wife yet thus I don't know the consequences of having over a 100 hours logged in already.<
Quoting Rovert10, reply 4Yeah the question is how is he gonna compress the game into a 30 minute video but then again he did sort of a "WTF is..." on Final Fantasy 13-2 or w/e and split it up into like 10 parts from a previous live stream. If he played in 5v5/faster settings it would be no problem... but if he insists on playing boring 5h ffas then sure, it's not gonna happen.
I really think that's just due to
Steam is a necessity in today's PC market. If you arn't on Steam then you arn't going to do well in this PC market. The only ones that can pull it off is either EA or Blizzard.
He did 'WTF is' with pre-release versions.. so he could do it with Sins. Love that guy for giving indie games like Starfarer some publicity. It's a bit funny that it took him ~1h to colonize 2 deserts though:). And he whined when he lost his lv2 titan to opponent's lv8. Good vid showing why there isn't much of a MP community in Sins.
Still appreciate it that he at least showed off the game somehow.
AND CORVETTES ARE NEW LRMS
They even have the same counter which is flak but this time the corvettes can actually run from you and who cares if you lose a few. You spam them like bombers. Sure you can have a large amount of flak but it gets to a point where having 50 of them makes no difference against like a 300 corvette swarm. Titans and their AOEs seems to be the only answer to this huge huge masses.
I don't like Steam because it keeps track of all the hours I have spent on this game to the minute.
Desyncs arn't really much of a problem in trinity in my experience. I had no desyncs at all in rebellion or diplomacy. Some people seem to be at a worst situation than others.
I don't agree with a total exp lost since it prevents any sort of rebound if you actually do lose the titan. Some exp lost I can find justifiable. Maybe drop 1-3 levels but not all the way down back to level 1. Cost increase is required though.
http://www.twitch.tv/totalbiscuit/b/314362292 http://www.twitch.tv/totalbiscuit/b/314362292 I should have followed his twitter more often. Though you see mecha in the first couple minutes of the stream sitting in the lobby. At least there is some publicity going on with it despite me being very late to find
They never promised 12 player maps. Idk where you got that information from.

The surprising thing in that thread is that most people defended or at the least didn't care about their decision. Forum dwellers... you mean fans.. actually def
Errr... one you didn't even bother to even check if you did everything correctly. Two being a raging douchebag doesn't help your situation. Rather than display your rage. You should at least try to ask for help in a polite manner. It's called support for a reason.
I don't undertstand how you can get annoyed with the amount of military labs. They really arn't worth much in the late game especially when you have like 20 planets or so. Unless you are playing on a very small map. And of superweapons. The Vasari superweapon is probably the best one of the 3. Advent culture really doesn't do much. The TEC novalith can be countered with a starbase with aux gov (other race equivalent). But the Vasari superweapon will just allow you to skip
