Yes, I did that and no good. However, I went into the main sins folder ie steam/common/sins and 'took ownership' and now it works fine. Likely some windows update was the cause, and was not allowing the game to copy over some files. Unbelievable really, I just think that Microsoft's forced updates suck, but thank you for your advice. Cheers

Been playing rebellion for years with very little problems, when today I had the power go out while playing. Upon reload, my game now crashes at the menu selection, every time I click on any of the tabs (single player, options etc) I believe it has something to do with the graphics as the camera swings a little, then freezes, then crashes. I changed nothing at all, and have tried windowed mode, but to no avail. How is it possible to be sudde
Congrates mate, looks great. Downloading now. Edit: I know I've brought this up before, but exp reward for destroying a particular ship. The dreadnought (planet initial garrison ones) we get 7 for a kill, while I noticed that for a CIS lucr-bulk, level 4, I get 6. Is this right?
OK all kidding aside and putting on my serious Modders Hat The disruption to my game was well problematic to say the least. As I have wrote many times before I run my own modded version which tones down Hull Restore Rates to near zero well at least it was before version 1.80 I have since corrected 1.80 with all my refinements such as extended build times for all things Ships, Research, Structures ect. <b
Hey Lavo, Is the buff (imperial-anti clumsy) intended to stack 5 times? On level 1 this amounts to a 50% bonus for chance to hit and turn speed (although I am not sure about the chance to hit mechanic, so 50 may not be high). Just a thought, is if is intended to be so high why not have a stackable limit of 1 and make the bonus itself 50, just because the result would be the same (a bit quicker-5 sec X5 to currently get to 50) but easier for player to understand (I had t
Thanks for the info, and nice to know. Just a possible bug/let people know. With terraforming, volcanic planets terraform to volcanic planet, with no change. Perhaps this is WAD, but they are listed as terraforming possibilities in the tool tip
Yet another question. I noticed on the jem harda ability that it gives and increase chance to hit and a increased shield restore rate. But it also has some other stats above this (in the mouse over icon) like -75 damage per second, shield restore 150%, warp drive diabled, hull repair 15/ sec etc. Just wondering what these other numbers are about, as in the buff file (as I can see) it only alter the first to stats I mentioned. Thanks.

Cheers guys, very helpful indeed. Once last question. I have already bin to text the entire gameplay folder (its the first thing I do, lol) but for some reason the player files (ie playerborg, player fed etc) will not convert. No problems with any of the others, is there anything special about these? Again, much appreciated. Edit: Had a look, and believe I've changed the right files (just tripled every timer I could find). This probably has to do with me playing such a slow game (in gamplayconstants I adjust research speed and economy speed to -12). I like the idea of a slower game, and previously have known what to adjust accordingly. Which parameter controls the appearance of these units? Game time was about auto save 15, so about 2 hours into game (and as above, for me, just the beginning). Hopefully, have not annoyed you guys by this.
Just a quick question/thought. While I love the nasty surprise of the ferengi or sona turning up unexpectedly, in my latest game I noticed that one of the ai (unfair, dominion) had died a very early death. I went back to an early auto save and chose them and found that a sona battle ship had arrived at their home world and killed them. Perhaps there could be a time limit as to how soon these powerful pirates arrive (and if there already is, where abouts is this set
You just need the same directories to hold whatever files you copy to the changes mod. So if you want to change 1 entity, create a new mod folder Called SoA2 Changes, inside that create a folder called GameInfo and paste your entity to that folder. Make sure the SoA2 Changes mod is on top, Once it finds the file in the top m0d it will not look for it in the lower mod or install directory. You
I will do that. For my changes, if I put them in a separate folder (labelled changes), in what folder inside this do they need to go? I assume they need to be in a gameinfo folder, but do I need to add all the other stuff that goes along with a mod? Also, as I had a working copy on my old computer, I have decided to start from scatch, with a clean install of SOA2. I think this is likely to solve whatever bug has creep into my game.

Managed to get my game updated (Yeah) but am now experiencing some mini dump problem. About an hour into the game I started getting mini dumps, and now, upon reloading, I will get one with 30 sec or so. I turned all of my graphics setting's to the lowest, but the dup still occurs. 1.4 gb compared to the 500mb, what have you guy done [e digicons][/e] , is this because of added content, or the beta being in an unpacked state? Still, looks like no patch for me, so maybe a 'wait till rebellion version' is my only option.
@ Myfist I have got a perfectly working version of rebellion 1.1 (You can still actually update the disc version for this), and all of this was just to play SOA2. (With sins, the only two mods I regularly play are SOA2 and SOAGE-starwars. So, in reality, even if I get the ability to patch my 1.00 diplomacy, I'll get 1.37 which will not work with the soa2 I currently have (the .5 one, with the additional little patch).
