Now remember, that price detailed above does not even include upgrades for the bases. fully upgrading the bases takes about 43000 credits. And long before you can afford those upgrades i guarantee you it'll be mobbed by starfish.

So, the overall firepower is not increased from having multiple, just the staying power. That limits their usefulness in combat. you could have 20 starfish with defense vessel escort go right into the middle of them and start laying on the pain. Personally, i would just get the one starbase, get a titan, then spam caps and frigates. Not bring multiple starbases.

Yeah, but what if the planet has no culture centers? Advent superweapons have always been hit and miss. I think it needs to be more assured of working well. How 'bout you make them take over the resource asteroids too? That'll make it more effective regardless, since the enemy will automatically destroy the culture centers anyway (which destroys their effectiveness, since until the culture spread completely leaves the phase lane closest to your fo

I've got an idea. You know how capitol ships repel enemy culture? What if the DE spawned ships in the gravwell fired at that repelled enemy culture? Don't know if this is possible since I've never looked at the files governing culture repulsion and spawning ships, but it would be like a dark fleet that does no damage and repels enemy culture by quite a lot while it survives. Are you guys already balancing the titans and corvettes from the beta for your current mod? It would be nice to see the "planetary defense laser targeting array thingy" (The thingy that uses the planetary shields model but fires missles instead of making a shield) Anyway, it would be nice to see it do increased damage against titans. Just to introduce another counter against titans steamrolling past your defenses after your fleet's gone.
