"I know exactly what they were running from. An AI that became sentient went insane and blared justin bieber songs across the comm links. The only way to make it stop was to destroy your ship, the one ship whose self destruct mechanism was faulty went insane and put their ship on autopilot back to the homeworld." - rogue_ghost Here is the fault in that theory: we would have already shunned He Who Must Not Be Named, burned all
The Advent and Vasari Corvettes are a bit more powerful in that they have more passive abilities - the corvettes for the Advent alone each have three passive abilities. Also, if you start out the game by building a military lab, you can just swarm them, making clearing out neutral colonies much easier.
I have tried that on a 1v1 w/ AI. A hoard of those things is very good. At least they were before the patch that made them
They need upgrades for the corvettes.
Personally I find myself sticking with the old "race that lived exclusively in phase space until the Vasari accidently let them out" theory.
I have heard something similar elsewhere. It is a good theory.
Also, for a bunch more theories, go to https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/418779 . It is where people put Vasari pursuer theories.
You all might probably be wrong, maybe. Here is my official theory, in dramatic form: "What if there is just one pursuer? A lab experiment gone awry? An ultimately powerful physic being, able to destroy planets and control trillions of people with ease? A nearly immortal vengeful creation, bent on destroying all Vasari, and freeing their slaves, traveling with the mind-controlled Dark Fleet? The living embodiment of dominance, a billion times more powerfu
That second one... DANG!
Problem is that the multiplayer community hasn't warmed up to the new victory conditions and is uncertain if they ever will. I think this is probably the biggest hassle of Sins MP since everybody wants to play with the same god dam settings and frankly I am getting tired of it.
I have not tried all of them yet, but I like cap ship victory. Also, its ok if not too many people like some of the new ones. Nothing i
Quoting LupusVir, reply 13When do we get to play as the advent and vasari? The question should be "how did these guys get to play as advent and vasari?
Who are "these guys"?
When do we get to play as the advent and vasari?
I think that it is the planet eating thing. And the mobile Capital Planet.
nevermind
Where can I get it?
Maybe there are more nanites than we have numbers for, and they sweep across the galaxy, eating planets, a huge swarm bigger than a solar system. Maybe they leave nanite populations on planets instead of destroying them, or they build space staions. Maybe they are building gigantic guns (like a couple light-years long) that they will use to shoot more of themselves to other galaxies. Maybe there is a whole civilization of nanites, thriving and growing more intelligent.<
I think that my "All powerful being theory": "What if there is just one pursuer? A lab experiment gone awry? An ultimately powerful physic being, able to destroy planets and control trillions of people with ease? A nearly immortal vengeful creation, bent on destroying all Vasari, and freeing their slaves, traveling with the mind-controlled Dark Fleet? The living embodiment of dominance, a billion times more powerful than all the Advent combined?&
Oh. Once the beta came out, I went into my shell, and didn't come out for a while.
When is this from?!?! I completely missed it!
Here is a thread that has exactly what was said by an interviewer. Only they did not put it there, someone quoted them. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/418246 Or if you don't want to see for yourself, here it is: "We were also told that you're finally going to get some solid hints as to what the Vasari are running from, which has been a plot point teased
I cannot remember. They said they had put clues in the game code, and that it would take about seven minutes for the people to crack it (joking of course).
They said seven minutes till someone found the clues? On the beta, or the finished game?
So has anyone found out what really happened?
It was the menu that you select the abilities that I right clicked.
I wasn't able to send them an email. Here is a minidump situation: This is the only situation in which a minidump occurs for me so far. When I have a Titan selected, and I right click the abilities menu, A mini-dump occurs. I have not tried to make this happen with normal capital ships.
Da weekend is here! Rebellion all da time!
Nevermind. I got the email bout a half hour after i posted this:
I ordered it in Late January! Where is the email?!?!
