It is always nice to see someone, even an alien race, embrace the "Or else" philosphy so tightly.

Thats the thing though, I saved, so I could go TEC Loyals now I've finished with the rebels and Advent Rebel, while setting up the other three players with the other factions. I tried to do it again by replacing pirate bases with wormholes, and failed to repeat, so I'm just curious as to if its happened to anyone else, or did my machine just have one of "those" moments? She is starting to get on in age. If its a one-off I can totally forget it, but even if just one other perso
There may be a planet out there, where 1000 internetz is an offer they cant refuse.
and the Vasari tell them to become valued citizens or die.
For that sir/madam/generic internet gender, I award you 1000 internets. That made me laugh.
Move your cursor over the research tab icon. It will give you the list of what's being researched and the completion percentage.
But perhaps they arent as comfortable or experienced with the game as you are. Maybe "me vs the galaxy" seems a little daunting while their trying to find their comfort zone, their style of play with the races. I play slow at the start of every expansion so I can get a feel for the new directions the race has taken, so I can be comfortable with them and know how I want to play them, before I take it up a notch, then repeat.
So, I jsut went into map designer to change around my current universe, just pop out the pirate bases and replace em with wormholes for more "hey look, i'm now right over here" fun, but er, I can see where every artifact in the universe is already, and its not even been 5 minutes. Instead of planets having to discover them, they seem to have all discovered them from the moment I finished loading in. I dont know if its a bug or glitch or what not, it just seems a lil
From what I'm aware of, it is just a stand-alone expansion. Though people do keep getting themselves worked up into "stand alone? must be sequel!" mode. Now, if Stardock had said "this is the sequel" instead of announcing it as the third expansion, thats stand-alone, I could understand it...but I haven't seen it called the sequel anywhere that isn't consumer sourced (aka us guys, the players, saying it). But speculation is speculation, and people will always
What are they fighting? Certain ships have abilities that stop you firing though I cant remember which ships or what the specific abilities, or what they entail, off the top of my head. It was nice the first time I had it happen, my TEC ship caused a ceasefire throughout the entire gravity well, so moved my titan and all my capital ships right infront of their starbase...waited...got itchy trigger finger...waited, then within 30 seconds that base was molten slag driftin
I...managed to take out a couple mines with an Advent seeker in 2b, so far 3 in 2c. Granted my ship was parked pretty close to em but, I have taken out 5 mines.
I play against AI, I have no problems with that, I know what I'm doing, and I enjoy it, have done for years. Multiplayer doesnt really appeal to me unless its LAN as its the dialogue you can get going that draws me, in the same physical room dialogue not VoIP communication. Am I a cowardly noob, because I only do multiplayer games via LAN, and have never had anyone to play Sins with at a LAN? Or, like esorah, am I just someone looking for people to play with?
Death to the alien. Purge the unclean. Send in the in-laws.
I think they just want to customize their ships individually like in sword of the stars and that Civ based Sins wannabe that is Endless Space.
Are you taking into account all the buildings you'd have to change too? What about trade drones and resource ships? You couldnt raise just one aspect to a new visual standard, you'd have to upgrade everything from planets to asteroids to previously mentioned minor ships, buildings and constructors, on top of fleet. It just doesnt seem feasible without pushing up the system requirements, which is a bit late to do at this stage with a bit over five weeks till the expected releas
4) In my game the pirates were supposedly destroyed but that was untrue, they had a base with a full fleet.
I get this mostly in the new patch. The pirates are dead inside the 3 hour mark on a 6-star "there's so many planet clusters I lost count" galaxy I whipped together. But they have all their bases, the one in my home system is too powerful to attack at the moment, even with my fleet fully assembled, I'm going to ha
This is my opinion for why land-based combat has no place in Sins. You have ya ground troops, their all ready, waiting, excited even, a force able to kill every last living on a planet in a matter of hours. I have my fleet, in orbit, above you. I have missles, energy weapons, heavy munitions in general. I blow up your planet, I kill everything on it, including your defense force, with my missles. World scoured clean in a matter of minutes. I move my people in.</

So, Borg without the Trek essentially, to put in basic "everyone understands" terms?
I've been having to use CursorLock myself to bind the cursor to the fullscreen Rebellion, its not a perfect fix but it works for now at least.
