Changing the name to Texture_Coordinates_AUTO worked, strangely. Thanks Myfist, you've been a great help.

Now I have a new problem. When entering the pick session to assign the tangents to a second uv set, I click on the 2nd set in the explorer, but it says "CAV is already using the specified data type, there is no need to install an operator." and it applies the tangents to the first set. So I start over, and bam, the same thing happens.
That's weird....really weird... I just imported it into wings again and it still has its UV. I didn't do anything different with this model than my other ones, yet they still work. Oh well, guess I'll have to keep working on it. I have no idea how to UV map in XSI and the interface drives me insane, plus I've already textured it using the UV map it has now. EDIT: I fixed it. It apparently had something to do with the model being one object. When I split i
https://www.dropbox.com/s/uej0jewbjoxzhwx/BattleShip.zip Thanks. It would appear that the UV is attached, because I have imported it back into Wings and the uv is still there.
Hey guys, I've been having some problems with XSI. I use Wings 3D to uv map models, then I export them to .obj format for XSI. Usually this works perfectly fine, but the two most recent models I imported had two different problems: 1. One model displays in xsi as having very, very bad texture quality. The problem is not mipmaps, and as far as I can tell its not a problem with the texture, I checked it, and it has perfectly good quality. Is this just a problem in XSI? Will it go

Is there a way to increase the number/frequency of the blinking starscape stars in the background? I've been searching through files and can't find a line that controls there numbers.

Banning you for something that has nothing to do with anything you guys have been banning about.
It's not that I don't like the HW color scheme, I just think it looks too similar to the progenitors. Oh yeah, you've just reminded me of something. I have a pack of Homeworld 2 models in .OBJ format with all the textures and whatnot, I load them in wings3d just to see what kind of modeling techniques they used on them. It appears that instead of using hard edges, they just sliced every single polygon into its own object. I just thought that that was interesting and I a
Well, I can do coding. But it has been a long time since I've really modded anything (at least six months). I've just now gotten back into it, so I should be back up to speed in no time. I only have vanilla sins and Entrenchment though, no Rebellion. Actually, it looks just fine in-game with soft (or what looks like soft) edges. One question though, do you think it would look better with a gray/white color scheme instead of the obviously progenitor green/white/red/grey?<br

Here is the model with no texture, using hard edges for some areas: A Homeworld 2 assets pack? Cool. Not sure if I could help with much though, if that's what you're asking. Seeing as how I can't use XSI.
