I've been brainstorming ideas for a mod that will really change game play, and I was wondering, is it possible to move the UI buttons around? Not only visualy, but actually move the buttons so that you need to click in a different spot.

If I may offer a bit of constructive criticism. Mass Drivers are not weapons, they are used to electromagnetically launch payloads into space. If they were to be weapons, they would simply be railguns. So basically the Intarian Alliance (kickass name btw) uses railguns while also experimenting with railguns....it's redundant, is what I'm trying to say, lol.
I don't have rebellion, I only have original sins right now because the gamestop app won't work on my pc. When is rebellion scheduled to be released? Okay, so capital ship can be spawned through fleet beacon type abilities...very nice. What I was thinking of for the toggled ability would be a "shields up" type ability that is toggled on during combat, and off when out of combat.
Wonderful, that helps me out a lot. I didn't even know the broadcast tower had any abilities...huh. I knew about the Sova's turret ability, but I didn't know if there were any limitations. Can you spawn capitalships as well? I would assume not. Considering there is only a "spawnfrigate" action.
Is it possible to make an ability that constructs other ships on a delay? How about an ability that gives a ship something like the novalith cannon? Or an ability that can be toggled on/off?

Ran the .bat, what was it supposed to do? Also, this happens with ALL my models, regardless of what file format I save them as.
I have a problem, I've been working on a .obj model in wings3d, but when I import it to XSI, it loads everything up to "importing polygons for object 1/1 100%" then says "failed to save scene before system failure". Any ideas? I think it may have something to do with the fact that my wings3d is installed entirely on a USB card.

Wow, the Progenitor ships look BAD.ASS. Anyways, I like the new Hiigaran the most. Especially the destroyer and battlecruiser... I see what you mean now about the vaygr battlecruiser, that is one mean looking ship...
Huh...never noticed the Vaygr Battlecruiser... darn, lol, I can see what you mean though, though it was not intentional. I was actually thinking while I was modeling it that it would look better horizontally....but then I watched a vid on youtube and noticed that it looked almost exactly like the Vaygr ship. The vertical shape was actually brought on by a game (in development) called Novus Aeterno. I actually hate the look of the Pride of Hiigara...it doesn't fit in with the Hii
Inspiration...Draakjacht convinced me to look at all of the homeworld models...the level of detail was soooo much more then sins, lol. Nonetheless though, the only parts of the texture that I pulled a chop job on were the engines and the big brown area by the bridge. Even then, I changed them from what they were...nothing else was used from Homeworld.

I like the idea for a per-ship upkeep cost and the phase blocker...the number for the upkeep should have been very small. Couldn't you add the upkeep back in by getting rid of the current upkeep and making an ability that dranied a small number of resources every second?
