This is meant to be an epic game that take hours or days to finish, where long term thinking and planning is supposed to matter over the short term actions taken.
LAWL!!!! There is no long term thinking in SP. Its main strategy is MAKE BIG FLEET AND ROFL AS YOU STEAM ROLL AI.
Sins caters to the more intelligent/patient gamer, and NOT to the ADHD generation that can't focus on one thing for more than a few minutes, one does not need to use their brain to play cod or SC II which is mainly just memorizing a quick build order to rush your opponent in the first five minutes of game play. And likely plays into why these games are so successful despite a horribly bad storyline, and "shallow game play"&
Quoting cirving4444, reply 8 If you don't play for the sport Sins is not the game for you. Sins is about strategy and counters. Not loling as you just steam roll after steam through opposing fleets. So like I said I am not a for sport player who just spams units to overwelm the enemy....Sins is a space game....I employ it in that fashion and the game is much much funner for me that way.
<
The thing is a beast....with overcharge and snipe it can pop out a 6000 damage shot every 9 sec.....I am not a "play for sport" kinda player, I Role Play alot in my wonderful little brain, so losing cap ships like they are frigates really ruins alot of the fun in the game for me....I dont lose very many Cap ships when I play normally, I use them as anchors to my fleets, but not as the main weapons.... I just hope they tone down the snipe ability
Europe is a continent.....
What? That makes no sense o.O
SD is going to nerf nano leach. this is beta shit needs to be worked out. Also the AI has always been super duper weak.
OMG!!! School can't end fast enough now!!! xD
I also think their ships shouldn't be able to attack, and they give you resources as a peace offering. Then maybe Stardock could record some begging voice clips just let you know that you are superior.
lmfao yes that is perfect
Would be kind of nice to see culture actually be useful. But alas the opposing faction will also have culture tech to upgrade so once again culture will be stale-mated. :/
Neutral forces???!!!!! Those are waaaaaaay too strong! They need to be removed too.
Thanks for the love [e digicons]^_^[/e]
yes
So I was playing this game and the weirdest thing was happening.... the AI was trying to win the game, and I was like wtf this is OP. A simple way to fix this would be... 1.) Make it so the AI doesn't make any more ships. It is too hard to defeat them and well it makes the game no fun. When I play I want to be sure I win. 2.) The AI doesn't build ANY structures. I mean come on this is ridiculous. 3.) As soon as the game starts the AI st
I know this has nothing to do with with 32 or 64bit switching, but is it true sins is increasing its ram alottage to 4 gigs instead of 2?????
I just had a brainstorm! Since the radiance has very unsatisfactory health, it dies quick if it uses animosity. No amount of tech ever truly rectifies this. What if animosity increased speed? Since its a capital ship it can shove those tiny little frigates aside. It would really improve the ability if you could completley destroy the enemy fleet's coordination. The strengths of light frigates, lrf's, and heavy cruisers lie in concentrat
After reading through the various posts on this thread, I think the bare minimum fix for DE would be that it deactivates all culture centers at the target planet. This would at least ensure near instant culture control of the gravwell allowing for the Advent bonuses to be present and removing the enemy bonuses. This I believe is the least thing needed to at least make the current iteration of DE function as it was conceptually designed.[/qu
Are they even making a sins II? I mean I can understand why they would, but they haven't even gotten rebellion done yet.
It does cost alot but it also gives you an Antimatter Regeneration steroid.
Which compliments GRG and FB. They kind of go hand in hand.
Quoting cirving4444, reply 25If you took away GRG then the KOL won't have any damage abilities, and it is a battleship. The Kortul's ult, Nano dissembler i think it is called or something like that, does damage and the Radiance's DA and ult do damage. GRG needs to stay, because the KOL needs a damage ability. The Kortul's ultimate is not Nano Disassembler (that ability is on the Jarassu
That is all dependent on if you can get the KOL to lvl 6. keep the abilities, but change them slightly.
Thank you all for the awesome discussion, hopefully the devs will look at our ideas and implement a few. :)
Im seeing a lot of threads being made asking for nerfs for features which are working as they are intended. Im not sure if there are a new crowd of gamers coming to Sins who have never played a decent RTS before but Pirates and the bloody culture system is working as it should be. The game isn't designed to be easy so you can steamroll everyone you play. The game has many different systems and many different possabi
But I still think Ion bolt is more fitting on the Kol than the Akkan. Edit: Also those numbers for AF need a nerf as well because if you make it a passive it has a 100% uptime and does not need to have the same statistics.
I don't agree, ever since rebellion I've viewed the KOL as a baby Ragnarov. I think to make it more useful GRG gets its
