So I have been away from the forum, is there a version out for rebellion is is trinity still the one to get?

I've played stardrive now for 50 hours, and quite frankly the only other space game I've enjoyed as much or more is Sins. This is a fantastic game, even in beta better then most finished games, So fun, so cool. This is the kinda game that when you get into it, you wish there were more hours in the day, and the last game that happend to me with was Sins rebellion.

Sadly nobody makes Sins of the solar empire models, which would be awesome if they did. So I settled in something called Firestorm Armada, it got about a dozen races/factions, In ensense humanity has devided into two factions, that have their own alliances with alliens. You got all the standard sci fi stuff, reptile aliens, arachnid aliens, some water living aliens ect. Each got thier own style of ships, you got all the standard ship types, frigates, cru

So I'm playing this huge game, over 100 planets, like a dozen stars, there have been some epic 30 minute long battles, but the enemy has buildt those super cannons and keep eradiating my planets, so I have to recolonizing them, and reupgrade them. I also loose the ability to build at those planets for some time, also anyoing. Is there a way to counter them. It's hard to piece togeather info so far, but they have said battles will be bigger with out saying how much bigger, Since Rome the size of battles have only increased marganaly, I can't play Naploelon total war, I just can't play a napoleonic battle with 2500 soldiers, which is bearly a brigade. I'm playing a 2v2v2 game, one star but lots and lots of planets, I'm useing Distance Star. I always build starbases, some tines around planets some times just in neutral space. they are expencive, but once fully upgraded and one you upgrade armor, shield and hull they are monsters, in Distance Star mod, my upgraded bases have 21 000 hull, 10 000 shield and 16 or 18 armor. So rebellion is my first outing to this game series. And I'm loving it. But the original game with expantions are tempting mostly becasue of the mod sacrefice of angels 2.
