Z axis is an integral part of the game. Without it, the community would be a desolate group of around 20-30 regulars that constantly b*tch about noobs and how broken the game is (sound familiar?) and yet still keep playing. This community treats the new player like garbage. Eventually every single one of us will have gotten sick of the constant stream of hate from such respected figures such as Grimm and Doci. I was in a game once, and saw Grimm say this in the chat:

I am disgusted. Simply disgusted. This ship AI is extremely incompetent when it comes to targeting enemy frigates. I was playing a game today, and my light frigates were targeting all different types of ships, and not focusing on 1 ship at a time. It isn't consistent at all either, as sometimes it does focus fire very effectively. But today, it was not, and it is very difficult to focus fire every 2 seconds as new ships are made whilst you manage colonization, research, and buildings/plan
