Hi, Not a mod'er myself but I really love the mods you all are putting out. One thing I humbly ask is this. For those of us that are at the mod'ers mercy, can you tell us how or just go ahead and put the new ship models into 7 Deadly sins (if there not there already) Also where can I find a description of the mods them selves. Unless your stealing something out a shear need to survive there is not justification for it. Don't care if the game works for [U]you[/U] or not. Stealing it is flat wrong! That being said the above posts will probably fix your problem.
As Long as this is a Wish list I wish that the Game Options at game set up had a random feature in each of the switches. It would add a lot to the fun factor if you did not know going in if it was going to be a slow economy or fast research, or abundant / Scant resources, etc... Anyway that's my wish. Hope the powers that be make it happen. :LOL: pleasssssse

I have been running the game with Full graphics and had no frame rate problems at all. I currently have AMD 64X2 Duel Core 4400+ 2 gigs of Ram Nvidia 6600 X-Fi Gamer extreme sound card The only problems I have had is, the game will sometimes stop for 15-30 seconds then pick back up and play just fine for the rest of my session. I'm very sure that the hang-up is related to Sound but dont know for sure.
Interesting post :) made me go hmmm.... what Id like and it wouldn't be that hard to do is set all the starting setting to random....ie ship speed, research, income, ext... I really like random games. That way you never play the same game twice. With the random fleet option it needs some tweaking. The problem is that the majority of the enemy fleets is ALWAYS the same race as the PC.

Anyway what I need to know is, Will building more than one Trade port or Refinery at any given planet increase its credit / mineral out-put? ie. if i have two trade post at one or more planets and there in a chain (I know about the longest chain thing) will I make double the income at that / those planet(s)? Uzi, Thank you so much for the work you have done with this mod. I have been totally captivated by SoSE but, I had started to slow down a bit. Started getting that "but I have seen this already" Now the game seems fresh again and with the amount of variety your search-ables add it will stay that way for quite some time. My game locks up at least once sometimes twice on really long games. Every thing just freezes for a 20-30 seconds the just picks up from where it froze and i can just keep right on playing. This is in a solo game as I have yet to play multi-player.
I can't give you any statistics but I think that was taken care of already. One thing i did notice was ship speed in the phase lanes. Just for fun I made a random map and streached the phase lanes out along way. I promise you that will be the very last time I do that on a slow setting. Took forever for ships to go from one planet to another. Made for a very long game lol.
I hinted at this in my earlyer post but didn't directly ask, Does setting up a good defence on every planet hurt my economy? What I usually set up is 4-5 fighter defence hangers, 4-7 turrets, 1-2 repair bays (I try to get all my defence items in repair coverage), later in the game Ill set up a shield defence on key planets. Any constructive feed back would really be appreciated
Thanks Hiriako I had totally forgotten about the distance from home world thing. For some reason I had it in my head that Broadcasting towers countered that.
I have only played single player games so far but, I like the Random maps the most. On those I have yet to see any of the choke points that a lot of the pregenerated maps have. there are almost always more than one lane coming into each planet. I have been setting up fighter defence on every planet. From the reading I'm doing tonight I think that may be hitting my economy pretty hard but I'm not sure about that. I'm having trouble figuring out the logistics. even after I have a plan
AI keeps giving me totally unrealistic missions. Some of them are just impossible or suicide. I lost a cease fire / trade alliance because of those kind of missions. Really sucked because I went from cohesive attack front to a war on 3 sides with me in the middle of the expansion route for all three factions. Was a tough fight and I almost pulled it out. I lost it when a combined fleet of two of the factions took out my strongest fleet. Was just a matter of time after that until the rol
Thought of this tonight. Make the AI suffer the same diplomat settings the Player has to. Im my current game the AI was trading back and forth for most(at least it appeared that way) of the game and (at least it appeared that way)at war at the same time. Also give us something so we can see who is at war and who is allied with each other. This stuff may not be as big a factor in MP games. but since I play mostly solo against the AI I does affect the game a lot.
I'd like to see a diplomatic set up similar to Galactic Civ2. 2nd the single player campaign. also agree with the idea of formation setting. Thanks for a great game!!
Thank you Annater11, I finally found the folder lol. I have to go into stardock and right click the SoSE installed folder. Then hit the open folder to find the manual.pdf. Here is a real noob question. why did that folder not show up in my (program files/stardock/sins of a solar empire)folder? all i have in there is the .exe for the game. Well that's all i can see anyway, dont know if the .pdf file is hidden in that same folder or not. sorry about such a noob question. I have not bought
There is a post in here somewhere that gives a basic opening moves template. One of the things that stuck with me where the 1st few moves. Build a capital ship yard so you can get your one free capital ship, build a hostility research station and get a point in repair, and get your population maxed out. From that point I try to get some more research stations up and capture the closest asteroid. I haven't played a mp game yet as I have yet to beat the AI on normal

That's the main reason I was looking for a help file or a manual that I could down load. Maybe its something that will come out in a later update.
I downloaded the game from star gate. What I need is more information about in game content. For instance I colonized an asteroid that was porous. What is the benefit or handicap of that? I keep running into things like this every time I play. How do the different sun types affect the game? Can someone help me find this information? Its not stopping me from playing, but its really bugging me I dont have the answers lol Thanks all
I Down loaded the game from stargate. What I would like is a game Manual. Would be nice to have a quick reference for techs, I'd also like to see an in game help that would take me to a info file on things like special weapons for a Capital ship. It would help me in the buying so I dont have to buy one to find out what those special weapon titles actually mean. Been looking for the D/l stuff that is suppose to come with the collectors edition. Where can I find the Music and the PDF file of the manual.
