Apparently, Envoys still cost 8 command points, probably only in single player. I think I remember seeing them costing 4 when playing online. The other thing has to do with Galaxy Forge; I've noticed that Greenhouse Fair planets don't have a regular amount of asteroids orbiting them. Also, fix the new planet textures! They're awesome, but those bits on the poles ruin it.
I'm not sure if it was a glitch but I started a new game and apparently my Envoy Cruisers are still 8 supply. :/
I'm getting this, too. However, I played a game online with a friend and if I remember correctly, it was 4.
if there is still a more casual crowd kicking around let me know and maybe I will pick up Rebellion.
Add me! Me and my friends play non-competitive FFAs and stuff, and I'm trying to build up a non-competitive community around it. Though, the trouble is that a non-competitive player often means an infrequent one, so all I have are my actual friends who I can convince to join me and a few players from playing online who are

I hope that in the update, everything gets nerfed so hard that all weapons are replaced with pool noodles. Only then will I be content with life. On the upside, all of the damage and weapons upgrades can be condensed into a single pool noodle upgrade, which leaves space for future upgrades like spoilers and two-tone paint jobs.

Alright, if anyone wants decent (as in sporting and friendly) people to FFA with, me and a couple of friends are also looking for people to have long FFAs with.
Quoting Reice, reply 21 ?
No. So much seems off about this chart. What does attack level stand for? Why is the Ragnarov the only titan that doesn't have a max rating? Why is the Skirmisher considered to have a higher attack level than the Assailant? How long have siege frigates had medium armor?

Would it be correct to say that bombers and fighters are weak against Flak, but do normal damage to other heavy armor types? Also, are heavy cruisers are strong against all light armor except from anti-module cruisers? I'm not sure what you're going for with this rating system, but it would probably be logical to change it to percentages instead of symbols, or have people agree on the general effectiveness of some ships against others (i.e, corvettes being strong vs. LRM in practice)

I think that when we go into factional niches we need to generalize. Factions have advantages, but they're not usually solid. TEC (economy) Loyalists: defense Rebels: offense Advent (culture) Loyalists: momentum Rebels: reversal Vasari (mobility) Loyalists: run & hit Rebels: hit & run
Vasari have a slight weakness in early game. It is however mostly offset by their early available and extremely powerful Orkulus starbase. ARESIV, it sounds like you consider early-game combat to be out of the question... Besides that, I often find that playing as Vasari, going head-on against a synergistic late-game Advent fleet will only waste your ships, especially against Rebels. But, maybe I'm doing it wrong. - And even though there are some far more experienced people discussing this situation then me, I'd like to propose a solution to the jumping Orkulus thing. What if it cou
I'm sorry Reice, but it really sounds like you have never seen this strategy used to its fullest. Most people have not, because the AI in Sins never uses it. But go online, and if you're ever unlucky enough to play a game where a good player is VR, I think you'll realize just how powerful they are.
You're right, I've never seen this being done.
It's actually very easy to get any tech in the game in under a half hour, if it is good enough to justify it. Instantly turning all your starbases into spaceships is obviously a very good thing. ... You're not using it right. Even without that tech, Vasari players often build starbases in hostile gravity wells because the are such good weapon platforms. Being able to send an already built and fu

I have only ever mained Vasari rebels and I really like them, and I get a lot of people complaining that they're OP. I don't mind the no jumping SB rule that is generally in play, but why is everyone still complaining? I can kind of get how the jumping Starbase thing might be abused, but even so, you have to aquire level 8 civic tech and they weaken after consecutive jumps. I have hardly ever felt that it'd be necessary to get that upgrade, and when I have, it's only b

Well I'm no pro, but I can tell you about what I've found out from playing: Kortul (battleship): Can stand on it's own against the militia, but not much use supporting your fleet, leaving you open against your opponent. Not much good for a first. Skirantra (carrier): Best for an offensive start in my opinion; allows you to clear out militia with relative ease whilst healing and providing a supporting foothold for your fleet against the enemy. kill flak with your sk
Don't get me wrong, I love 4X strategy games! But.. this doesn't feel like one.. it's more of a 1X. Explore: Follow some lines. Expand: I can't do that, it's a small circle. Half of which I can't build in. Exploit: Alliances are ridiculously pointless as your never really 'allied' with them. Exterminate: Plenty of that! It's just a bit too quick.
I don't think there was ever a campaign, though there are many options for customization that allow you to have games of any size. If you use Galaxy Forge (which will have come with your Sins files, should be in the documents) you can create your own maps to your exact specifications, save them, and play them. If you're a noob, I like to get new players together for games. I have a bunch of friends who play Sins but the competitive crowd scares them away. I do custom maps a
