@Timmy First of all i love our discussions! Secondly i dont understand why you care so much as it doesnt affect your non-comp non-ICO experience. Obviously they are NOT going to remove any race abilities or anything like that, stop worrying about mobility removal (?!) . What we are asking for is numbers nerfs, less PM damage etc... It would literally have 0 effect on your single player experience ( Vasari will still be grossly overpowered) but at the same time help those

Im giving a 5 second reaction time to above scenario. Cykur, this isnt just my opinion, ask any high skill player and you ll get the same answer. Reasons are many but outcome is almost always the same given equal skill. Also yes as TEC you would stop it a lot easier and if u went marza rush will fail. Prog is just completely useless in this scenario. Next time i see it happen i ll upload the replay since i lost all of my recent ones due to beta.
Disciples are just fine at stopping an Orkie being built...you just need more of them because they are a bit smaller than LF's. Just ignore the egg and lose the asteroid. As long as the Vasari player scraps or loses the Orkie, he loses more in resources than the cost of your asteroid, at which point you hunt down the egg with the Disciples since it won't have much backup due to the cost of the Orkie.
<

Lol Timmy stop arguing, its a well known and accepted that vasari are grossly overpowered at "everything". Reminds of a line from the new Star Trek movie where captain dude asks the khaan whats hes better at? The anwser is same as above!. P.S: If they added a phase missile nerf i would be happy with the state of vasari in 1.50. They will still be overpowered but what do you expect from the evil aliens!? Also really looking forward at making 50 vettes vs all those titan

You are mainly correct in everything you say altho getting flak early vs only LFs massers would lose you the game vs an equal player. I know they can tank and all but you will just surrender your initiative for no reason. But yeah Flak are underated for sure.

@Seleuceia It was an example for testing purposes but if you like you can consider a scenario where you ve just taken your dwarf/roid close to your capital, and migrator just appeared with an egg flying to bomb your new planet. Oucome: you will most likely lose all your discs before you kill sb, with lfs you will most likely win that encounter. Reason i mentioned marza is cos people open with it and you ll have it vs rush or a 3-lab push vs sbs. @Zyzyfer Yeah you would
I have absolutely no idea where you get this....I've had equal luck with both disciples and cobalts against orkies...disciples have slightly better DPS per fleet supply while cobalts have slightly better HP per ship, there isn't going to be too much of a difference between them...furthermore, if you are killing an orky with a marza, that has no bearing on the quality of your cobalts... Best way to counter vettes early is a mix of LFs and Flak. Start with LFs/Discs and add Flak/ Defense vessels as required. Dont go for just one type as its not as effective and very open to a counter. You shouldnt need more than 10-20 flaks to stop any vettes rushes and you can add more depending on the number of vettes. Generally you need 1 Flak ship per 4 vettes to be on a safe side.
I have little tolerance for anyone who complains about $5. Comparatively, for more than $5 you could have gone to a fast food restaurant, eaten said food, and eliminated it from your body before you'll even find all the new stuff in the DLC. Or had a latte at a coffee place or whatever. Gross, but it helps to put things into perspective.
$5 for a trip to a fast food restau

Few thoughts on the above: No skilled Vasari player (not that the race currently requires any skill to play) will ever go kanraks to counter mass illums, it just wont happen and if it does kanraks will get rolled so fast no amount of feed will help. Secondly disps are the worst ships, with the exception of vettes, at engaging starbases - orkies mainly obviously. Assuming 3 labs for upgrades, you will lose all your disps to a 1 HP ( Wep?) upgrade orky. Controraty

OK lets use some hyperbole and stay on topic! Super excited about the patch thats hitting us the first week of June! Awesome changes and all, however i think DLC is complete trash from MP point of view. I dont plan to stay zoomed in for hours observing planet textures or what not, there are games with much prettier graphics for that, so it adds little to no use to me (im sure Timmy is sharpening his knives as we speak reading this). Planet specialization might be fun b

Hi Zyzy In a word no. In my opinion you would never win by just building vettes vs an illum fleet. Vettes counter LRMs very easily but completely fail vs illums unless in such numbers where its not relevant anymore. Also advent can just add some defense vessels and your whole fleet becomes obsolete vs a ball of beam death. As advent the best way to counter illums is to make more illums! :P Generally you would make some vettes to counter disp spams simply because lfs cant focus

@XATHOS This a thread about the much anticipated upcoming patch NOT the future of sins or who owns what and how. Make yet another thread about sins2 in another topic if you so wish, otherwise its just glorified self-indulgent spam. I cant believe you are having a go at a guy who is actually contributing to the main point of the thread (although in a somewhat quote infested manner), when you go on a tangent discussing whos arguing /debating or "lulz". Grimm leads with Revelation as well. I make double Radiance if i see too many Tec player on enemy team prior to game start. Sova +vettes is a viable start if you can micro 3 groups of ships simultaneously and is happy to kite, while expanding and making 2nd Sova. I also keep meaning to try Kol lead, as it becomes virtually unkillable if you get it to high levels... All of the above require a skill level above that of KoK to execute and benefit fr

Advent loyalist titan has a very common indecency to go spinning in place ane become totally unresponsive. Its mainly the reason i hate playing VL as the titan thing could become a huge handicap especially in fights with lots of ships. SO to answer your question it has happened to me but for a few minutes as far as i remember.

On the upside, all of the damage and weapons upgrades can be condensed into a single pool noodle upgrade, which leaves space for future upgrades like spoilers and two-tone paint jobs.
What did i just read? Great news! Speaking purely from competetive mp point of view the changes in the log are very welcome. All 3 major game breaking issues (WMJ) have been fixed in what looks like a great overall solution. Also keen to see how Misc changes are going to improve the quality of life in 10 player games. Happy Cat.
