Hi Multianna. I tried paint and saved as a jpg. Upload still will not accept it. I am assuming though, that the request for a "skin" means a jpeg of the galaxy. Is that correct? CidCaldensfey, thanks for the info will try that program.

Anyone know how to make a jpg of a map made with galaxy forge? I'd like to upload it, but have to have a jpg in order to do so. Thanks
I tried 4x to get past the first 10mins but never could add any credits to my treasury. There must be some clever way to succeed but my lowly IQ couln't figure it out. LOL
Im playing as a TEC civ and I have a trade, ship and planet sight pacts with another civ. I can see my trade ships traveing to other stars but I cant see the phase lane to access it. Ive also researched worm hole trave yet cant seem to use it. what is the secret to getting to other stars?
Im playing as a TEC player and I have a trade, ship sight and planet sight pacts with another civilization. While I can see my ships and theirs traveling from star to star I cant see the phase lane in order to travel it with my fleets. What gives?
Thanks Annatar11, thats a great representation! The game already has a light blue tactical overlay that you can enable/disable and I thought it might be possible to add the orbital paths to it. SoaSE has such great movement as you pan into each gravity well, but as you zoom out a litle, the planets seem pretty static as if they were stationary inside the system. The patchwork apearance of the phase lanes do not give the visual impression of being in a living system of planets orbiting around a s
This may seem silly, but would it be possible to add circular orbits around stars as a light blue tactical overlay just as eye-candy? SoaSE is visually stinning but adding an orbital line would give the impression that your in a standard solar system....just from an athetic point of view. I think it might alude to motion and create a vista of the full solar system.
Yeah....space ponies....pink ones at that. LMAO
.....will ever make an apearance? hmmm.......what do you think guys?
I just created a galaxy map of the closest dozen or so stars to our solar system. (interesting research by the way.....Didn't know that Alpha Centari is actually a trinary system!?) I wanted to do a game based on the Star Trek worlds and named the 4 players after the main civilizations in that story line. When I pulled the map in the players names were taken from the SoaSE story line and not the names I had designated during the map creation. Is there another step in order to pull those names in
Sorry if someone has already answered this but....Can anyone tell me how to connect stars in Galaxy Forge? The right click/left click connecting tool doesnt seen to work for me when attempting to connect stars.
Ah....I see......it goes to totalgaming! Thanks!
Do you know the file designation for the sins install directory? Can't find it under programs.
I just downloaded a new map, but can't find the SoaSE files under Vista!? Where do I put the new map file in order to put it in the game?
This is just the kind of game, I think, that many of us have been waiting years to play. I've played 2 10hr+ games and enjoyed every minute. Yeah, the pirates beat the crap out of me at first, but let me tell you when you finally nuke thier final lair, it only makes your victory that much sweeter. (You know, anything worth having is worth waiting for....or how about....worth working for!) The AI always takes advantage of my blunders, the better for me not to make them again. Never had that happe
Thanks guys!
Even though I've chosen a specific empire color in my profile set up, the game always defaults to green when I start it. Is there a way to change empire color other than at character set up? (I know it seems silly, I really hate green, LOL)
The download process has stopped twice now, once at 16% and now at 78%. Is there a trick to keeping the download going and or to retain what it has downloaded?
Major Stress, I just read through your "and so it begins" and "reviving my old Star Trek Mod" posts and was blown away by the ship renders. This is going to be an amazing game mod - the development team on Sins have done a great job on making it accessible to the modding community, in essence making sins almost the next great Star Trek game...(or Star Wars, BSG, B5, the list is endless) I can just visualize the massive battles between the Federation and her adversaries now....(gasp, oooh, ah
OMG, I haven't thought of Joust, Lode Runner in years! (Hmmm.....I wonder what the interest would be over the last 25 years on the $500+ in quarters I spent at the arcade....lets see....)
Just a small request to any who worked on the Homeworld Star Trek Mod.....Do you have any screen shots from that project showing the ship designs and combat action? Would be amazing to have a "teaser" to look at while we wait for your work on sins! Thanks
Sorry if this question has already been asked, but the counter at the top of the page counts down to Midnight on Monday, Feb.4th. Does that mean we have to wait until Tuesday to download? (Or is my math just bad?!)
Have been a Star Trek fan since my teens, and this mod sounds amazing! Have been waiting years to be able to play a realistic Trek game with the kind of debth that you guys are talking about. Thanks up front for all your hard work.
