My new game being developed with the pixel graphics help of psyphon.com is under serious development time. As the end draws near for the initial single player release there is still much to do but you can start to get a feel for the game by visiting http://www.evolutiondata.com/taca/ and giving it a go. This game has some big plans that will take a while to get in place, namely serious multiplayer and possible team play. The idea is that you will play to take control of each country by playin

Seems to me that not only can they not be bothered to create something themselves they have to get a court to allow them to steal from other software developers and icon set developers that don't even make any money from their passion and hard grafting. And also just seems a way to promote a soon to be product by getting this in the public eye as it were.......if their apps were any good they wouldn't have to resort to back alley, low down tactics just to promote the cr^p they put out.<
Those are actually older screen shots, if you check the current version for download it also has some of the folder icons and others. Regards, Grfx Guru
Hi, I just thought I'd mention this. I don't know the situation as to whether this is allowed or agreed etc. etc. But I noticed I believe some of the orion icon's in the GermaniXEncoder application (actually a rather good app). Found http://www.germanixsoft.de/ Regards to all, and apologies if this is all just fine..........but when ya see work out there and given the habit of some people to just rip stuff I thought I'd mention it in case. Well just a short message to finally open a personal blog. Not sure what will be appearing in here but you never know what you might find. Some days ya just have to share your thoughts and ideas with the world! Given that I'm a Web and Multimedia developer I guess you can expect to find some items around that area for sure. I mainly use Flash and Macromedia Director these days for such things and continue to sing the praises of Dreamweaver, nearly all the sites I make for clients are do
I'm glad to see this getting the attention and exposure it deserves. I have come to really like and appreciate the browser and it is ideal for testing web development for conforming to standards. Thanks for putting this news item out there.
Sounds useful will give it a look, thanks for the info.
Nice idea, and look forward to seeing where this takes us. Wouldn't it be nice if we could have animated logon's too
Man I gotta try this out, excellent feature.
I believe someone on the aqua-soft.org forums mentioned they had made an IP version and was waiting for it to be added/cleared on wincustomise. Excellent icons as always
spoon_T_Rex My best guess is that technically if you read the agreement on things like games and applications, they probably say something about agreeing to not changing, reverse engineering or editing the files in any way. So technically you are breaking your agreement with the software company by doing anything that changes the way it works from the way it was when they released it. That's my guess anyway.
I have to agree here, it's more a pain to the legit user than a non legit user. For every protection created there is always someone smart enough to figure out how they did it! And as mentioned once you screw up a CD then that's it! As an example I use Macromedia's Director a lot for client work and after paying I think it was around $1200 for one CD you can imagine I treat it like it's made of gold. I don't mind paying for it, but I'd hate to have to do it again. Personally I'm really
I think skinning anything is important to give your computer a bit of your identity and make you feel comfortable. I like many I'm sure spend more hours than I should in front of my computers, but I'd go nuts if I couldn't have it looking the way I wanted! Imagine if we all drove blue cars or had cellphones with little aqua buttons on them.........sheesh what a world And as so many will point out,
I think it's a little harsh to say Stardock is in the Microsoft camp and not really consider Linux as it was once in the OS2 camp.........who know's one day it may just be in the linux camp too. Not looking for a fight or even meaning this in a serious way, just thought I'd point it out and have a cheap dig Personally I have only recently started taking Linux seriously, and within a week of knowing
MontyXP..........now why didn't I think of that *doh* Thanks.
Great update, but can anyone tell me how to remove an animation object from the bar? I put the sample one on the bar and cannot find a way to remove it. When I choose dock item properties it just gives me the option to choose another image Still great progression on this little app I think!
craeonics........ 'I know when I am hit by a virus', surely the whole point is to avoid being hit in the first place? Bit like saying, I know the ship has sunk when my feet get wet No offense intended, my mail box is overflowing with hits today and return notes from places where my email address has been faked as well but it does seem to be decreasing in quantity, just thought I'd see the l
15 is that all? I'm up to 200 emails and counting, that god for upto date virus software........and there I was thinking I had become real popular and everyone wanted to talk to me lol The most annoying part is that in all the emails being sent to peoples mail boxes, it is so easy to overlook one that you actually wanted to get.
Seems to me that if this problem was thought about before making the poll then you probably should of not put it in the poll in the first place? Giving us candy like that then thinking about taking it away lol I'd go with ask Microsoft and see what they say.
Jim Jones............originally I subscribed just for Windowblinds (was about 3 years ago I'm guessing), then I upgraded to Object Desktop. Personally, I'd say just get Object Desktop and be done with it, I don't really use WindowBlinds much now at all due to some issues with programs and their interfaces, but I sure do use many of the other tools you'll find on the OD network.......worth every penny in my opinion. Personally I like XP. However if OS X was ported to a PC I'd be very interested in trying it out as a serious replacement. The only other OS I really like that sadly died on us for the most part was BeOS 5, and Linux is still not there yet for mainstream desktop usage (but excellent for servers). Taking all that in to consideration though, Mac hardware is still the best damn looking kit around in my opinion. Apple sure know how to make a box that I'd want people to see on my desk, only
I remember a discussion in the newsgroups I think about this app and asking for a feature like this in IP. One thing I'd really like is the ability to change folder icons with IP and they somehow get saved with the theme, so when I re-install I don't have to go back and change again all the time. Personally, I'll stick to IP and doing it by hand. I'm sure there are some good things in the app, but considering you can change a folder icon with a couple of lines of text and an icon file (
I'm actually someone who tried .net on the development side and stopped mostly due to the fact that I would never be able to convince people to install "another pack of files" just to run a program that I wrote, which I think as an application development language things like C++ are still far more used and adopted. That said I never really tried the web services so cannot comment on those! In this day and age of quick comes and goes, I will give it credit for actually still being here
Hey, ya know I never knew MyIE2 has aliases either! So ya taught me too, and yes yes I know........if I ever bothered to read the readme's it's probably in there, but I'd rather just leap head first in to an app and be sorry later hahaha!
After seeing the demo have to say it's worth giving a try. I'm using MyIE 2 all the time at the moment and it's very cool especially with the tabbed interface. So I'm real curious to see how iRider's one works.
