Must be an English major somewhere... hmmm ;p Goodbye, Vasueden. AncientAge

Attack a star system as if attacking a ship... the star system should disappear. Search the threads for "terror star" AA
BFD! I drove by the gas station this morning and regular gas was $1.29 a gallon. This evening when I filled up the tank it was $1.59 a gallon. DUH... two things: fill up Tuesday morning $.30 / gallon x 20 gallons = $6.00 delta from $1.29 Do it right a few times and the cost of the game becomes moot. Signed, Subscribe to my own preaching... shut up... enjoy the game. AA
A "search" function that works on embedded keywords. AA
TJL1 (et al), I could take either side of this issue, but at the moment I would argue in favor of a "trainer". You're recommendation is certainly correct, but I submit that the simple "dumbing" of the opposition is not the answer to the question. The use of a "trainer" is viable in situations where a player has found themselves in a difficult situation (quite certainly from their own ineptitude and/or inexperience) and need to be "bailed out" by the use of some "influence" in order to contin
Star Pilot, Yep... Thanks... as you may observe, there's a reason behind "AA" ;p heh heh... ;)
After I've won (or lost) a game, how can I get rid of save iterations in the menu selections? I thought I remembered a selection to delete these things, but I seem to have lost it (won't be the first time), or maybe something's changed. Bottom line - what does one do to get rid of the old saves? There appears to be no option (click or right-click per item). AA
I spend a lot of attention to Hero in the early game. But I'm disappointed with StarHawks... what's the point? AA :notsure:
Sorry, I don't miss the "sharks" or otherwise vial vermin - at any level. Pre-cursor "finds" are a lot more relavant and distributed among all civilizations. Some have spoken of GalCiv as a chess game. The introduction of extraordinarily capable "creatures" seems to cheapen the point of strategy vs tactical; just feels like something I would deal with in an XBOX or PS2 environment. IMO AA
Sorry all, off on a tangent. Perhaps there's some opportunities here for forum improvement. But then... game, improvements, forum... military, social, research...pick what and when... watch the morality and the senate vote. Just a thought. AA
It is with distaste that I refute one of my old principles (agree in toto) with another previous post (or poster). But MadMaz couldn't have said better. I continue to spend more time playing the game than commenting on this forum - that's a good thing. I'm also continously thrashing about trying to get completed gamew posted to the Metaverse. I've won four and only have credit for one. Whining now, bring on the cheese. But while I whine now, I am still frustrated. And yes I've logged my
Brian has a good point. As a commander of a starbase with defense capabilities and a knowledge of undesirable ships within my venue, I would certainly designate an attack stance (and execution) as opposed to maintaining a passive - don't shoot until attacked -position. Sort of along the lines of the current ship Sentry, Guard, etc. capability. Starbases should not just be targets. AA
Never daunted by facts or the superior experience of fellow players, I provoked the gods of "just press escape" during the victory sequence. Well... four letters words... don't do it. Not that I was trying to establish an end-game variation or anything... not me! AA
Yippers... finally some game to post. Besides the fact that the posted game was an earlier verion (alliance victory as opposed to my latest cultual victory - and what happened to my earlier military victory? ... at least there is progress... small as it is. AA :p
Level 47, Take a nap and call back later. AA
I had registered before but I re-registered anyway. Maybe the first didn't "take". AA
But I've posted two winning games and have yet to see anything on the Metaverse regarding my lowly stature. What gives? AA
I have an autosaved game that will yield the same results every time - a clean crash to the desktop: Load autosaved game "Done" to clear Yearly Report "Done" to clear Research Screen "Done" to clear project Earth screen From common game view select "Foreign Policy" Click Stats tab - initial view is Altarian stats If I click on Torian view the stats screen changes fine If I click on Arceanian view from either the Altarian view or the Torian view, the appl
Yeah... heard that, but I wouldn't know about a 20 or 20+ planet if I fell on it - have never seen one. My current situation is that I have 7 seven decent planets ranging from 19 - 13 in a 64 sector map. At maximum spend/build rate my total colonization capability yielded this result... and I'm OK with how to maximize that capability. I am cranking hard to establish other supportive attributes that will allow me to be a player, but having major infrastructure planets in support ain't there for m
Brad, I think "dearmad"'s observations are realistic. I also have observed that in my most recent game - after some 10 or so turns - it yielded an unsolicited comment from my mouth - "hey, how come they got all of the yellow planets and I get J... S...! Maybe there's an issue here... not sure. AA
russellmz2 (and to all others) sequential lists are great and important, but the real value is the capability to: search search search search search search search got my point?(et al) Thanks for the listing! AA
I don't think so, but why would you want to turn off such benign resource? AA
Aerain, Bye AA
VGAP (a TBE - turn by email game) easily manages to that level and even beyond. Unfortunately, it has never been upgraded to a single user environment like GalCiv. Although you could "host" your own game on your PC. AA
Senate voted me out: Me the Federalist had been steadily gaining Senate seats up to about 46+ or so (don't remember exactly). But it was enough to keep control. Re-election occurred and @#$@$@ I lost control of the Senate (I later lowered taxes - gee what a stealth move - and got the Senate back some moves later). The bug that I would like to report is that during my loss of the Senate I had about 38% of the vote, but the voting against me (from a combined populace) was greate
