Funny thing about good games, you don't always win.

Any chance of native support for the G15 in the game in the future? Might be nice to see the pirate timer on the LCD :)
I actually think that some of the problem with them for me stems from the fact that they are called "Pirates". It conjures up all kinds of pre-conceived notions that I don't think mesh well with this game world. Think about if the were called "The Seekers". They would stem from a robotic factory complex (current Pirate base) left behind by a long forgotten precursor race who used it expand their now extinct empire. It continously builds new drone warships, but with it's masters long dea
I'm not saying I agree with badken, but you can't say his feelings are "completely unjustified". When the producer of a game is changing the title of a post he didn't create, to highlight his own glowing point of view, that's a pretty big conflict of interest. I've heard of hijacking a thread, but this takes it one step further. I've experimented with making the frequency of the pirate raids every 21 minutes, but it's clear to me they are meant to be an intregal part of the game balance
Last night I was playing a 2V2 , and I stumbled upon a menu where I had options to set a system as a target for my Ally to attack or defend, but it was early in the game. Later, the AI started attacking one of my Allies' worlds, I sent my fleet to defend, but he had his fleet parked at my homeworld for no apparent reason while his planet was getting glassed. I couldn't for the life of me remember how I got the Ally command menu. Anybody remember how to do this? Do the Allies actually p
Is there a way to see what a Refinery is actually doing? I mean they sound good , so I build them, but how many minerals/crystals are they actaully contributing? How long does it take one to pay for itself?
Just a time compression feature for those times when your just waiting for resourses or something to build or a fleet to arrive would be great. Changing the "speed" of the game mid game may be problematic, becuase I don't think it scales with things on real-time timers now.
Again, I totally get the concept and agree they add a nice wrinkle to the game, but every 12 minutes seems too frequent. I mean, consider the experience of a new player like myself. I've got all the details cranked up , I'm immersed in the environment looking at all the pretty nebulae and fearsome ships and diving into the space opera as I plot and build my empire in gorgeous 3D. Then , every 12 minutes I'm pulled out of that immersion so I can look at a rather bland 2D screen with one
awesome , thanks. I assume those numbers are real time seconds?
I understand and like the concept behind the pirates, and when I get attacked by them, I try to look at it as an opportunity to level my capitol ships, which seem to slaughter them fairly well. My problem is with the frequency with which you have to play the eBay mini-game with them. Instead of snarky comments, can someone post the line and the file where one can change the frequency manually until they put in a slider? When the AI asks you to do something, it seems like they ask an awful lot of you. 14 Tactical Structures? 15 ships? Should be more like 1 structure just to say you're helping to put the pressure on an enemy, not "Hey buddy, would you glass this system for me? I'll give ya some crystals..." every 10 minutes. Also, today I was literally in the middle of bombing an Advent world, when they chime in telling me if I want their aid I need to do such and such. That kinda shattered the immersion
Hi All, This is probably a silly question, but I couldn't seem to find the answer in the manual. When you come across a neutral extractor it says "Invulnerable" and "Can be Captured". How exactly does one capture one of these? Thanks in advance.
The combo of firepower sufficient to destroy a planet, and high armor/HP does seem a little odd. Maybe they should be more like siege weapons in other games, great at what they do, but quick to die when engaged in normal combat, like a Trebuchet in Age of Empires. Then they would still be able to perform their given task, but would require support to be effective. Another thought would be to give them less HP, but more shields, but in order to siege they need to bring thier shields dow
Agreed, if this is going to be the total interaction with the other races, it needs to be way less annoying. My fleets are busy enough protecting my empire, thank you very much, to be doing odd jobs for everyone else every 10 minutes.
