It seems like a noob trap that they even let you not sponsor a shipyard at all. It seems like planets should just auto-sponsor the closest shipyard on their own, why make it a choice when it's not even a strategic decision anymore?

I thought espionage was supposed to work in there somewhere.
I didn't like the wheel because using the wheel was not really a strategic decision. You either micro-ed for a huge advantage or you didn't. That's not the kind of choice I like to have in my strategy games, especially when the "no-brainer" choice takes up a significant amount of time.
I don't follow the development that closely, but when I realized that damn wheel was gone it brought a huge smile to my face. Thank you!
The Tireless March spell is either wrong or misleading. It says it can only be cast on one unit at a time, but it is possible to cast it on more than one unit.
Earthly Familiar says it has 1 mana maintenance in the description, but no mana is spent maintaining the creature after it is cast.
I'd love if I could submit an auto-bid. "Just keep bidding until the bid amount gets over X". I've purposely bid against myself just to drive up the value of high ticket things to the ballpark of what I know it is going to end up as. Let's face it, you and I know that free claim is not going for anything less than 10k.
#1 is true of course. Happens a lot more often since they've nerfed off-world trading prices (I think people whined way too much about how 'overpowered' off world prices are honestly. I think the bug that added the extra 0 to the tooltip kinda made people think it was a lot more powerful than it really was (even though the actual money gained was not bugged). I disagree so much on #2. You're paying for the auction claim with debt, not cash. Debt is a lot 'cheaper&#
I just hope that the development of multiplayer doesn't detract from the single player experience.
Will pre-ordering get us a Steam key when the game comes out?
If the population cost of the pioneer was removed completely from the game, would it really be a big problem? It seems like it would simply fix the exploit, and it's not like you can city-spam anyway since locations are limited.
I am answering the question behind both our arguments, "Is it better for the game experience overall, for most players, to be prompted when research or building is empty?" My answer is no.
Actually, I can see what you are saying. When I played Civilization. I always thought that the fact that they prompted me to pick a new research really took away something from the game and made it a less complete
Hand holding means telling you which research to pick, which buildings to choose and which enchantments to use. It's not handholding if the UI simply points out that you have to make a decision, or better informs you of the current situation. The challenge of the game should be in figuring out which strategic choices to make, not remembering that choices have to be made at all.
These are the types of UI improvements I've asked for since day 1. A simple DO NOT LET ME END TURN when I have stuff left to do option. Endless Space is a good example of a 4X that got the interface right in this regard.
I'm seriously disappointed if fixing known exploits/bugs is a low priority just because it's a single player game. That's just sloppy.

My game crashed about 12 or so turns in. Is there a dump file located some where I should paste?
Whelp. I got about 12 turns in and the game crashed. Disappointing.
Hmm, wait, is the map pack just included by default? I see the map types there from it. I didn't realize that. Does it have the improvements to random map generation as well?
Do you not sell the map pack on steam for LH?
Steam shows no option to get the map pack for Legendary Heroes. Is it not possible to get it for this?
I realise people have a love hate relationship with steam. My question is a simple one. If the internet goes down and I try to load Legendary Heroes, will it still load? My present understanding is it won't. Previous to Steam Fallen Enchantress through Stardock meant it resided on my machine and was independent of the internet. Not so with Legendary Heroes on Steam. How many people around the world have internet failures, and accordin
Guys guys guys, I'm sure all this stuff will be fixed in the next expansion! [e digicons]O:)[/e]
Saying "just don't use it" is NEVER how you properly balance a game.
Well, at least we have a way to do it, even if it's a huge pain in the ass and we have been begging for a simple in game solution to this for fucking ever.
You can't put quality-of-life UI enhancements as bullets points on a store page, so they get a lot less attention. That seems to be why baffling UI decisions seem to still exist in this game.
