As in the subtitle if a dev sees this perhaps we could add a session report area to forums for people to post links to game session reports, videos, pictures etc etc? Anyway...just a quick bit of praise and a report on the game. I just today finally got my sons system up to speed running the game. He is is 14 btw and is a very mature kid, great gamer and straight A student for any of you smartarses lol. Anyway...I fianlyl got a new power supply and new video card in his

The single player is pretty fun in my opinion but definetely may not have very long legs for most. Ive been playing it alot as someone else said to try and get a good grasp on the DG's and figure out which ones I can play good with and which ones I sucks with and dont fit my playstyle. The other good thing about the single player is if your short on time you can just play a quick Domination map or Eliminate I think its called with a low set objective and you can get a game over with p
Whiteskull I think I played one game a couple days ago with you. It was you on one team with me playing Oak (for the first time ever) and some other guy playing Reg who im not sure what he was doing. By the time I started figuring out the character a bit it was too late we were too far behind etc. Was a good game though as we had a couple good spars etc. In all honesty I havent really tried that many more online games yet. Been trying to play a bunch of skirmishes to figure out which
You can tell if there are other players still there as they will have a ping on the scoreboard. Some people may not know how to talk to all yet.
Im sorry but that is just hilarious.
Well actually I will correct myself...I know that Frogboy said that they had given them a early release copy I guess...so technically the reviewer had probably been playing single player for a few days anyway. But then only gave the actual release 1 day.
Just a suggestion but I think if the connection issues seem to be smoothing out some that you guys should go ahead and reset the Pantheon and lets go fresh. There seems to be alot of erroneous data anyway with 1 minute games etc etc. People who were getting disconnected and all that. May be a good idea to just goahead and restart it fresh at this point instead of playing out several days on top of those borked games etc. Just a suggestion is all.
Exactly. I really feel the way that Gamespot jumped on it so fast was very unfair. I mean how much time did the reviewer actually have with the game? From launch that is. So he played it first day on the 14th then posted review on 15th...wrote it, made video review all that...after 1 day. Just doesnt seem proper.
You can read what they had to say here: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3173758 Quote: Except now I'm in the odd spot of both looking forward to playing a game I've been anticipating for a while, and dreading the possibility that I might have to write something depressing tomorrow. I'd much rather spend the day doing the first one. &
Yeha I agree more DG's will be good...but even sooner I hope they can release a few more maps. That should be easier. Heck I dont care even if they release say different size versions of similar style maps. Just a few more maps for more variety. In particular a couple more 2vs2 maps.
I thought of that same thing last night and was going to post it today. Yeah just some sort of little icons showing your in-play minions would be helpul sometimes.
Thanks and sounds good. Look forward to testing it more. Any word on the issue of playing online game then resets all your single player achievments and favor items/points?
Has there been a dev comment on this issue yet? Even just a "Yeah we are aware of this issue and are working on it..." type thing?
To be honest on the other side of my post above... If I had one complaint I agree with on the Gamespot review...its the limited number of maps. I can live with the MP stuff being worked on for a couple days. I can live even without a campaign story mode option. But in all honesty 8 maps is VERY lite for a release. The game should have came with about 12 maps minimum. A couple more 2vs2 maps in particular. Also maybe one more game mode would have been nice as well. Like a king
Ill be honest with you I lost respect for Gamespot (along with many thousands of others) back when the whole Gerstman firing happen. I was a paying subscriber of GS from day one. I cancelled because of that. They fired a guy because he gave a bad review to a crappy game and the publisher got mad because they were paying a ton of money in advertising. So as to not ramble...the integrity of the site tanked. Then losing the other senior reviewers just confirmed it. Alex Navarro etc etc.<
Happened to me. Definetely has to do with going and playign online. I had not played an online game for 2 days. Had finished a single player Tournament and had unlocked a few things. Last night late I played first game online in Pantheon. Today I get home and play a quick single player skirmish and notice my points and and items reset. So it took one single game online to reset my single player achievements for 2 days. [e digicons]>:([/e]
Good thing we got another post pointing out the MP issues that Stardock has already updated us on ( http://forums.demigodthegame.com/346451 ) the other 50 threads just didnt cover the subject enough for me. Not trying to be a smartarse but we really dont need people starting these threads over and over and over. Yes MP has issues right now. There are a ton of threads. The devs know and are working on it. Yes its frustrating an
Id also imagine the success of the game will dictate how many maps, characters etc we will see as well. So get your friends to buy it. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/346451 Linking this as it states the issues they are having.
Every thread started tonight with someone yelling about the multiplayer not working needs to be directed to this thread. Thanks for the update and the great game. Looking forward to the updates to multiplayer.
While Im one that can appreciate your frustration and understand fully what your saying I do think you (and the other 30 threads) are being a bit quick on the whole slamming thing. First of all your comments about the game not running well except on low settings or something....not sure what your issue is there. The game runs incredible for me. Im running like 1680x1050 I think....all medium settings or higher and it looks and runs great. I have a AMD Dual core 6000+ , ATI
Heyas all. New player to the game just got preorder last night etc etc. I only heard ofthe game a few weeks ago. But when I heard Stardock was associated with it I bought it right away (although it appears I got charged twice so Ill have to call about that). Anyway...been playing single player mostly as I tried to connect to multiplayer today. It appeared I was connnected with 5 other people and we were just waiting I guess for another person. After a few minutes a couple guys left so
Just reduce Rooks base hp about 10-15% and it should get it closer. This would make people have to spend more on the health upgrade rather then other abilities etc etc if they wanted the health.
I agree with you that it can sometimes be annoying when the AI has a little pack of bombardment ships that he runs past you and hits a planet in your back lines etc. But for me this is just typically a minor annoyance then a game halting issue. Basically I usually have a force somewhere near to deal with them or I make a new little "security force" group of maybe 5-6 LRM's and maybe a carrier ship or something and chase them off etc. My biggest complaint right now with the game to be ho
I was having trouble locating it but I figure maybe its because Im on Vista and its slightly different? For me the folder was hidden, so I had to go to 'Tools' then 'Folder Options' then 'View' and select to see hidden folders, then the correct pathway showed up.
That did it thanks.
