I was under the impression that the Multiplayer option was for LAN play, but they should be able to plug in my IP and Direct Connect? Otherwise, is there any other options? Because we've had the issue in the first game we've played in an evening, after a fresh boot of the game into ICO.

Using the search feature I saw that this issue has been reported before and was apparently fixed a while ago but I didn't want to necro-post on year + posts. I've been playing with some friends via ICO these past few weeks and we're encountering de-sync issues where one or two of us will be seeing one state of the game while the other person(s) are basically playing against AI at some point during the game once the de-sync occurs. Pretty obvious when playing vs. each other and we
Update time The team is hard at work on the next release of soa2. In the next release you can expect to see a new starbase model, the incorporation of the sins optimization project and a few little suprises for all of you. thanks jtaylorpcs
Woot! Great to hear, will the update be for Dip / Entr / both?
I just wanted to pop by and give a great big thank you for the update to Diplomacy, it's been a blast to play with friends during our weekly get together. The polish for the mod is superb.
Looking good! Glad to see ya'll finding creative solutions to get around the silly hard-codes (I mean, seriously, did they not want to bother with scalability?). All my mates just upgraded to Diplomacy, and we're really looking forward to SoA2 D update. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Just finished playing a 1v1v1 with some friends tonight. I was Rom, and we had Klink and Dom representing the other factions. Some things I noticed as far as balancing concerns. At end game research levels my Lvl 4 D'Deridex had around 500-550 Beam damage. Dom's heavy cap ship (forgetting the name) had over 800! Needless to say his fleet of 6 of those suckers plus 3 support cap ships blew through my fleet of 6 D'deridex, 4 Valdore's, 3 of the colony/repair ships
Very exited! Looking forward to getting my friends to grab the newest release for our weekly multiplayer night.
How goes the progress on the public release? I've a couple friends who are firmly in the 'casual-gamer' crowd who have the game but can't be arsed to go through the beta process. Lookin forward to the update so we can get our killin rebel scum on. Thanks!
Your continued dedication to bringing this mod along with the updates out to the ST fans here is very much appreciated. You guys rock! /cheers [e digicons][/e]
Really? Living up to your screen name there, I see. It's called having RL stuff to deal with, and when they do have the spare time (and inclination) to work on the mod I, personally, would rather them, ya know, be working on the mod. Instead of posting on the forums every 5 minutes.
Nice to see things progressing, thanks for sticking with it! I was wondering if there will be a patch coming before the next update for the klink/fed build with the newest changes or if you guys will not worry about that hassle and have the next release be the rom update? Just curious since the initial plan was to not do the patch, then it got changed to patching the current build, then shimmer(iirc) needed a break(quit?) from the mod. Either way, keep up the excellent
Great to hear guys! Thanks for the work, and looking forward to the next update when it's ready. /Cheers
They've stated they want to have 100% of the models from their own creations. So at best the BC models would be placeholders and would probably take more time doing converstions into a Sins compatalbe format then spending the time to create their own models that they'll have to do anyways. Not to mention the time to get the BC mod authors permission to use their creations.
We are aware of that mod and how to scale the planets, There are some issues with redoing the size of the planets thou. Untill those issues can be fixed or addressed resizing the planets is off the table for the time being.
I believe he was referring to seeing what they did to update their mod to 1.04 compatible (vs. having to redo the entire mod from scratch) - and not talking about what the mod itself doe
Any word on a mini-patch to comply with the latest patch, along with perhaps some of those balancing tweaks?
Wouldnt it be easier to copy the way Cap ships are setup? Have the first one built be free and then the price for any additional ships of that type cost millions (or whatever) of resources.
Although I never had the opportunity to play SFB, I was quite the SFC1 /2 fanatic back in the day. Hydrans, especially in SFC2/OP were by far my favorite race to play. Nothing like combining the Hellbore weapon with proper use of their strike craft to decimate a foe. How many and which races you want to include will of course be a major factor in turn around time of producing the mod, as while I'd love to run around with the hydran ships - making all the nessisary models and prope
