One of my earliest games was StarCraft Broodwar. It had good cheats built in that helped players new to RTS. And Age of Mythology had some very amusing cheats too.

Civ4 does have higher hardware requirements than Civ3. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest is worth a visit if you have doubts.

Blizzard has decided LAN is not necessary. So it is not. Blizzard hath spoken. You and your flat mates must recant and repent at once! No! Do not wait for all three releases. Blizzard not like that! Must not anger Blizzard! You get right out there and be in that midnight release line like good gamers!

Yeah, I got it! Delighted with it! Noticeably faster, new video features. Firefox 3.5 is a musthave! However, note that some addons may not be compatible with it yet. My old NoSquint was not compatible, but there is a beta version that is. The extra speed alone is worth it, but check your addons to make sure that nothing vital gets disabled for you.

So! Spying on me, eh? Seriously, this is the sort of info that would be needed by new players.

A brief tutorial campaign would have been a good idea and I think it would have increased the popularity of the game. The tutorials provided give little indication of gameplay strategy per se. But that's all water under the bridge, too late now. To me, StarCraft had a really good campaign introduction. You would play through only a few missions until you felt you knew how the game basically worked, and then go to some maps to fight the computer on more equal turf. Or you would go onli

I recently flogged the web for Disciples III but came up with nothing new in the way of a release date, TBA.

I guess this was to show the competition mode. Thing is ... well, I did play SC online at one time. But not for very long. Like maybe three weeks? Then I concluded I had got about as good as I was going to get, which was not very good. So, I went back to single player and modding. I like modding a lot. So what I want to see is info on the modding and the single player options, map creation tools, scenario creators, things like that. These video reviews depress me, just

1 . Oh, wait! hey! We are all forgetting Battle for Wesnoth! http://www.wesnoth.org/ This is a free open source turn based strategy game with a very active community. Often said to be the best free open source game out there. Usually in everyone's top five anyway. The user community is active. 2. Age of Wonders, Shadow Magic: http://aow2.heavengames.com/ and see patch 1.4, now out for a long time, active user community. &

Kings Bounty The Legend : Got to love a game whose tutorial starts off by pitting you and your little army against an obnoxious inyourface dragon, and then follows up this outrage by introducing you to a Necromancer! Look at videos on youtube, this one is very well done, has most of the bugs fixed at this point, and worth it. Civ4 , yes. Or Civ3. Or even old Civ 2. Everyone should play a Civ game at least once. Choose whatever culture seems to you to be

Yeppers, because my high school teachers were fascinated with the word for some reason. My, how schools have changed! Back when I was in school, either your teacher was a coach, or not a coach. Teachers who were not coaches could summon a nearby coach teacher quickly. Most of the above techniques would have resulted at once or eventually in: a. Detentions b. Expulsion c. Severe bodily pain, perhaps in addition to a and b above. I remember a kid in 7th g

I've got it on Vista 64 bit also. No problems, great browser. if it will install to your machine posts are right that it is worth doing because Windows core is enhanced thereby. Of course, I myself use Firefox because it works and doesn't have alot of newfangled doohickeys like IE8 that was made for people smarter than me.

Yes, five stars from me. I found some things to be annoyed about, but on the whole it is excellent. Have to love a game that starts you off in the tutorial fighting a cantankerous Dragon. Then your fun loving instructor sends you up against a Necromancer and his army of undead. What I found really strange was you may be a Warrior, but you never get to ride into combat. No, you are off on a hill casting spells, summoning things, and ordering the elements of your army around. In

I think of StarCraft single player where the dumb AI was made a bit interesting because it would rush you. This made it necessary to fine tune your buildout. In Sins, the AI is not going to rush you the way it is set up. So, the pirates were put in to make single players pay attention to their buildout. Forcing a reasonable buildout is all they are for IMHO. So, like in Civ IV, the barbarians and pirates should become non factors at some point. Suddenly they just become heavil

Hellgate London has to be in there somewhere. Few games have so enraged players that they created their own site on which to vent their spleen! www.flagshipped.com But Master of Orion 3 is at the top of my list for disappointing, as released. It seems to me that developers start out on a sequel by saying, "Ok, now what do players really like about the game. These things? Right then, let's take those out and do something entirely different."

See, thing is, many, probably most, people who buy the expansion, and later on the game with the expansion, are not the sort who hang out on forums. 1. Need manual as soon as possible. 2. Need something more ... I think a video of a commented game by the devs would be good and not at all hard to do. Not even a full game, or a hard game. Just play a game up to the point of building a starbase, deploying mines, other defense structures. People who buy this game cold dese
