Thanks for the link! This is what I am really waiting for! I started playing GW on retail release day when the servers went live. I have 7 characters full up, all heroes fitted out, each character and mule maxed on plat in inventory, and my storage is crammed to the guild with goodies and its plat storage is also maxed out. Sort of ran out of things to do! GW 2 looks like it is going to be truly epic. By the way and just in passing, Dragon Age Origins strikes me as bei

Ah, yes, the Sloth Demon ... hmmm ... SPOILER ALERT First of all it takes place in The Fade, which is the dream world that happens when you eat dill pickles and ice cream late at night; or consume strange mushrooms. The Fade happens to look very much like the third from last mission in Guild Wars Nightfall outside the Gate of Pain. Looks like they were heavily inspired by that art even if it was not a direct copy. I really hated that GW mission, so alr
Yes, thanks. This one is on my list to acquire. I liked the previous game, King's Bounty Legends, but it had its tedious points. I did play a bit of the demo. I must play with that cute little dragon! I think there is also a mod that makes party creatures and henchmen have bottomless supplies at the vendor. This I think is some kind of divine right! KBL was incredibly well done, a lot of hand drawn art, really attractive. Very esthetic, very geek. Maybe a bit over the head of
1. Master of Orion 3: Endless wasted hours including with player mods. 2. AoE III, when all they really needed to do was update the original game, they made that abomination instead. 3. Dungeon Siege 2, which I never bought ... but I started the demo and got to the point where the game referred to me as a worm. I could not believe that a game from Microsoft dared to refer to me, a potential customer, as a worm! Hellgate London will top the list for many. Not for me. I
Well, I tried to play Hegemonia ... I returned to gaming as an older guy, Civilization I was the last game I had played. Then, I got back in. Skipping right on to my most nostalgic memory ... It was a dark and stormy night, I mean really it was, when I sat down to play the demo of the first Dungeon Siege. Every stage of that wonderful demo I remember. Was there really no other way to Stonebridge than thru a crypt! Oh noes! And then you met the gal down in the crypt and after f
Frogboy, you is a CEO and you claims to work at StarDock? Whoever heard of a CEO who did any work?
Yay ... essss ... we wants her My Precious! And speaking of My Precious ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7IJTfOHRY8
They do list Impulse on their Buy thinger. Retail or Impulse looks like. Will keep up with it, see how it turns out, but it looks promising.
Allowing full freedom to developers results in mediocre games. Placing severe censorship restrictions on developers will result in creativity and excellent games. Freedom must be stamped out wherever it rears its ugly head.
What? $7 for what is not even an expansion? Ummm! me no lik'um. Me giv'um negative review. Me slap this game on its hairy snout!
Best $20 I've spent on a game lately. Cool mods are already out to spice it up. Why is it not on Impulse? Could be they could not strike a deal ... But what I really think is Brad tried the demo and the cruel mon'isters "pwned" him! "Oh noes! I is dead again!" Game does need a bit of polish. Having to dink with the settings file to change key bindings is just not acceptable for the average gamer. Not for me neither, come to think of it. Then too, in a
Well, the suggestions above are great. I myself keep intending to return to EVE, which is probably the greatest of them all if you want the ultimate and are willing to pay for it. An often overlooked game you should consider is Perfect World, pwi.perfectworld.com which resembles AION, though I think the truth is AION resembles it. PW has been out in the US and Europe for a bit over a year. Very deep game, good community, graphics arguably the best in free mmo class. Flying by
Well a great game that was a big surprise to me! Perfect World , free to download, free to play. Just stay out of that company store ... until about level 70 at least ... which will take a long time; and actually if you get good at farming to buy gold ingame you don't need to do the store then. It truly is free to download and free to play, no glass ceiling, no restricted areas, no second class citizens. This is a game in the genre of WoW, Aion, and Guild Wars; open world with
Yep, scratch that for me too. Nickel and dime you to death. Enough already! Let me tell you about a great game for free! Absolutely free! ... If you stay out of the Cash Shop, which is truly optional. No glass ceiling, no forbidden areas. No second class citizens. A truly free WoW style game that also resembles AION a lot. pwi.perfectworld.com and sign up for an account on Perfect World. All they want is a valid email address, no financial info. Download client for you
Frogboy, you are dangerous! But full disclosure, what race were you playing?
"They won't get my money with this one." Agree. All my initial enthusiasm has evaporated after reading the forum posts. The game as released was barely alpha, not a beta. Just from reading all the forum posts, I'm thinking probably a year worth of patches, maybe an expansion, some player mods.
Go Darksxx, bite 'em! Make 'em holler! By gosh, this forum has gotten so quiet you can hear the arteries harden! The SP game of Sins has precedent, Civ 3 and Civ 4 are basically skirmish mode games. Both have done quite well! Rise of Nations was basically a skirmish game. The Risk style conquer the world overlay merely tinkered with the skirmishes in various ways. I do think Sins SP has always been missing some basics. The tutorial is really way too short for a player
Yes, if you have not played Rise of Nations, it is worth it. Remember, you can pause the game and roam around and queue things up. A pausable RTS.
I had some astounding dreams when I was about that age, some that I could not distinguish from reality. We grow older, wiser, we know the difference. Or so we think. As an adult I have had a couple strange experiences of physical phenomena that I cannot explain in conventional terms. Two friends, degreed scientific professionals, have also recounted experiences that do not seem to fit into our normal defintion of reality. Nothing really dramatic or impressive for me or them, just very
Main thing is leave games alone for awhile. The magic eventually drains away. But it returns with time.
Behold! It is a Craig Fraser! And he can talk! Good! Say something about once a week Craig, so we know IC is still there. Only devs I know who play their cards closer to their chests than you guys at Ironclad is ArenaNet. This new expansion must be the GW2 of space games!
South Africa ... the plot seems parallel to the situation under the old Apartheid. Read Africans for the aliens.
Tkins, you have a point. Posts by fans, mods by fans; no updates from Ironclad on what they are doing, if anything.
Speaking of a nice zerging ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIRPcICB-iY
Wow! Ascaron did go broke! Looks like Sacred is now owned by Deep Silver of Germany. The Ascaron devs seem to have started a new studio. I did play D2 quite a bit, but never went over to Sacred because it was not different enough. Sacred 2 scared me off with the DRM.
