I see. Yeah they were beating up on eachother for a long time. I picked the weaker and stomped them in about 5 minutes. They'd ground eachother down to nothing while I had a huge upgraded fleet. Once I killed one of them the game ended. Thanks.

This is probably a rather dumb question, but there is no section in the manual that describes victory conditions. That strikes me as a dubious choice for a manual, but anyway... I assume there is no section of the manual talking about victory conditions because the primary one is "kill everybody else". But in my current game I've eliminated one faction and have 100% relations and all the treaties with the other two. Is there no such thing as a diplomatic victory?
Thanks. Hopefully people will update their mods when the non-beta patch is released. The little pew-pew-pew pellet guns my captal ships fire makes me laugh now that I've seen youtube video of the guns after the graphics mod. It's like watching an Iowa class battleship fire a spitball.
As a new Sins player, I'm torn as to what to do. I want to play with the latest version as it is supposed to greatly improve the AI and balance, but I also want to play with some of the great mods that I've seen people praise, like Sins Plus for the extra planet types and Bailknight's graphics mod, but they don't work with the new patches. Would you guys recommend a new player play an old version with the mods or the new version without the mods?
Thanks. Hooray?
I've been playing Sins for a few days now and something really annoying keeps happening. I keep having to change the keymapping over and over because every time I quit the game and restart, any changes I have made to the settings are lost. Additionally, the game still reports that I have 0% achievements even though I've gotten messages that I received quite a few achievements over the last few games. It seems like data that should be saved is lost every time I quit the game.
