I can't say if it's worth $40, but I can say it's worth $40 to me. Of course I'm getting it for $29.95, but that's a different story. Regardless, this game is my final hope for PC platform. If it turns out that it's an unfinished turd that will never become playable even after dozen patches, like few other things that burned me over the past few years, I will be DONE with PCs as platform. And since I despise consoles, outside of few casual

Using a car analogy is fine. I agree that this would be a simple and worthwhile change. This game could use a lot of fluff that would make it infinately more awesome, but would have no change on gameplay what so ever! Things like multi-layer icons that you can piece together, with a laywer for your clan icon. Dual color sets, not just single color along with tons of different faction pictures would make this game much mroe awesome.
I wouldn't mind taking a slight step in direction of ground combat by having some sort of a troop transport that can assault and disable or take over structures.
I'd love for Corvettes to have ability to bypass minefileds. As they are meant to be harassers.
If you lose your first titan, won't your second one have to run from the one that killed your first one forever?
1)Distinct HWs per race. 2)More econ balance (though obviously i prefer 3 different econ models vs generalizing all econ into one kind so its easier to balance). 3)Advent refineries. Buff refineries in general. 4)Tactical Strucutres buff (reduce cost or increase power) 5)New strikecraft, maybe something to counter the new corvettes.
I believe in redoing econ also. But this is turning into buff culture thread :/ I think culture bonuses should scale off of your overall culture. Like you should have a culture bar and your bonuses grow as your culture becomes more powerful, without need for research. And you can also then have a culture victory at the end of the bar.
He's been banned from ico more than once i think.
I'd say one of each artifact should trigger artifact victory. As for titan, I dont kn9ow, I haven't give a thought as to how they will work yet. I'm more along the wait and see line of thinking.
The biggest problem is that the ideal spot to put them is usually a frikin asteroid... in which case u cant put all 3 unless u can afford not to have a traderoute go through that place or u already have a SB there and it can be ur traderoute... which is unlikely.
Interesting... Now tell me, did he hit higgy's homeworld with Kortusha cannon? Because those open a node phase stabilizer as well and can be used to attack in a manner you describe. As for the phantom fleet movement, I suppose if he climbed Z axis (commonly used to bypass minefields) you might have missed it on the main screen, but it would be clearly visible on the empire tree.
Ahhh silly. Can we get less detailed models? Would that free up some memory? My idea was not to have 3 meshes but rather a model made up of more than one object. The upgrade would be a smaller model attached to the basic model. The attachments could be less detailed, and take up much less memory. Or if anything simply a different texture for the same mesh :/
Yep, #2 rush is still quasi viable of course :) Thats why on close maps people got into a habbit of building second frig factory fromt he start hehehehe.
The "original scout rush" had nothing to do with defeating your enemy with a swarm of scouts. It centered around 2 things: 1) Destroying enemy "ghosts" with scouts. Back when the enemy building placements were visible before he began building them, they had I believe 1 HP (could be even 0) and could be destroyed by a sneeze making your opponent lose full money for the building. I still feel guilty about the time I made my opponent waste 750 credits placing a single extract
[quote who="Volt_Cruelerz" reply="4" id="2991848"]I really don't want to do variants on ships. That and do you realize how much more than +10% damage +10% shield bypass is? It's incredible. By the end of the tree, you end up with ships that bypass 30% of the time and the missiles themselves are also significantly more powerful. Adding another 10% on top of that to assailants is going to make them absolutely pound the Advent. I'm serious. There w
That's one sexy pony
I wouldn't go with an XP thing. But there are other ways to give a bit more added power to frigates and cruisers outside simple tech tree upgrades. I think since the game engine got the ability to make upgrades to models, adding us an upgrade option to existing frigates would be a good idea. These upgrades for a small fee would change the frigate into a "variant" of it's model. So far I came up with 2 variants, but obviously more can be made. Variant
I wouldn't say nerf Hoshikos. Well maybe tone demobots a bit. But the buffs to other support have not hit the mark. I still don't see use of other healing cruisers to be even substantially as simple as using hoshikos, and that is a huge problem. The Vasari variant is too easily picked off, while the Advent variant simply doesn't work as well.
THere is a lot to do in the game outside of micro, especially with the laginess of endgame.
At least give us option to make simple badges D: jeez
I would expect some engine tweaks. There have been engine tweaks for almost every expo. I'm just happy the franchise is not abandoned. I was a bit worried when they were hiring people for a new title.
Vasari colony pods need to be looked at, it does not provide enough bang for the bucks. Hopefully it will be looked at for the expo. I think I'd prefer a refinery module if we are looking for new features. A mobile refinery would be pretty sweet to say the least!
It would be a nice game mod. Often in MP team matches your colonize cap becomes ur seat of government when your homeworld is overrun, offering you the chance to rebuild and make a comeback. Unfortunately if you dont have a colony cap, and your colony frigs are hunted down, you cant rebuild.
Hmmm well the reason turrets are so beefy is because they cannot move. If they were mobile you would have to sacrifice their beefiness. I'm not entirely oppose to the idea but I don't want it abused and become unbalanced. For example I could reverie your cap and move my turrets around it kind of nonsense.
In the expensive strong vs weak and cheap the expensive would always win. Simply put u can retreat beefier units from battle field much easier and repair them instead of losing them.
