I am reworking the old Star Wars Tie Fighter and Dark Forces midi music to incorporate them into eville's mod. You can download the mod to check the songs that are already in.

There are quite a few Kotor ships that could be modelled from the video games and the KOTOR d20 RPG book. Just Not enough to fill whole factions for all of SOSE purposes though. But it's not a dead era by any means. I'm sure a lot of newer visual content will be available with Star Wars The old Republic. Only problem is that they're going forward around 100 years or something like that. That could be considered yet another different era.
that's what winamp is for
ahem!.... also, someone is working on bringing some not so classic (yet awesome) SW tracks into the fold.
Ok, to answer a few questions I've seen here: Right now the first Era of play is going to be somewhere around post Return of the Jedi. It may be expanded later, but there's a lot to chew on already. The team has been working, the models are done for the most part (and have been there since before sins was released), but getting them into the game presents a few problems as of now. So don't worry about seeing people here focusing on building maps. I suggest that if you
PS: A handful of fighters/bombers is called a squadron. A handful of squadrons is called a wing. A handful of wings are called a group.
Not that it really matters, but I thought that a squadron is a handfull of wings. 1 squadron (12 or 16 fighters maybe) and every wing is 4 fighters. That's what I've always thought and perceived anyway. Been a long time since I played Jane's F/A 18 LOL. Anyway, I don't want to hijack this thread any more so I'll say some
IronClad you mean
You sir are entitled to your opinion about anything. But nonetheless I must say that you are completely wrong: the game does not suck. And FYI you can edit the ship limits to whatever you want.
Personally I'd also like to see ships becoming more vulnerable while initiating a phase jump like dropping shields or something.
That's a Very Nice Idea. And there should be some kind of interdictor ship to prevent enemy fleets from jumping at a certain area that goes beyond the gravity well. Make them run farther if the want to leave.
He meanes the Trade space stations available to the TEC
Yeah, the AI is very good, but when it comes to battle they are incredible coward chickens running from place to place. Quite annoying if you ask. Hopefully it will be adressed in the next patch.
Hello, I am also considering of buying Sins. I like space-kind of games and RTS but the problem with me is that I don't go multiplayer with them, only SP. I believe that this game is all about MP? Is it worth getting it for singleplayer experiance only? Thank you for any answers. Cheers
Yes, it is worth it. There's no campaign, but singleplayer is very solid. As much or better than every other R
you can archive it from stardock central :) And if you lose your serial, don't worry! You can request it from the guys at stardock.
That's becaue you must register your serial @ SD central. When you get it emailed to you, that is. BTW, forget about that clock, the game has been released. Some people are downloading already. There's a faq around here, you might want to read it if you have further questions.
lol... that's because he used tokens from TGN. That means his order was processed inmediately :D.
Well, It's not up yet. We have to wait untill the afternoon. EST I get the same error message by the way.
I myself bought 2 copies of the game in gratitude of Ironclad DRM stance and the incredible support I know they will give the game. Just like GalCiv
I think that instead of messing around too much he should use the planets as they are now, and maybe just scale them up (10x seems reasonable). I don't know how a wallpaper wold work really(an oversized high res icon maybe?). And the 3d feel would vanish. I might sign up later down the road if I get enough time to cook something decent for the mod... I can do music. I've got the tools to make some fine audio tracks for this mod. I only hope to find enough time to do it. By the
No, its supposed to work that way. You aren't paying for the ships, you are paying for the beurocracy that keeps the ships in tip top shape. This buerocracy doesnt just die with the ships, its still there and everything, it still needs to be paid. It was made this way cause many people would just build really really big fleets and bull doze over everyone without giving it a second thought. Now you have to think about it, cause if you fail, you fail big, because not only do you no
I might be able to, but at what time? I'm in EST btw
If you lose an epic battle, it could take forever to rebuild with a large chunk of your econ going to supporting ship capacity that you aren't using at all.
Now that is an interesting point. If you don't have the ships that the massive upkeep takes, then the money shouldn't go into a black hole. I hope there's some kind of counterbalance (right word?) in place so you are not screwed up.
lol. It is not free. You get the option of buying it online from Stardock and then you can download it when it is released. If you want (and for an additional small charge), you can get a box shipped to your address.
well you could point out that star is populated as statistic but in fact it would be the planets that circle around it.
Sure, why not? But then you would have to bomb the star and colonize it too... wouldn't you? :D
You can still order from Stardock :) And I encourage you to do it.
If it works badly, we all grab our pitchforks and torches and politely hand IC/SD a petition to add X feature to resolve this. If this fails, we carpool to their building with said pitchforks and torches.
Heheheheh... Let's hope it doesn't come to that. Seriously though, I recognize Schod's concern, but with all due respect to him and everyone else, It is just pure speculation because only the people at IC ,SD, and a few
Well, If the devs make it possible to add moons to planets then through modding we could be able to change planet meshes into stars and add moons as normal planets. Visually I think that's good for some mods like Star Wars for example. There would be a few problems though: the new "stars" would have all the planets attributes and things like that. It wouldn't make much sense I think. (Populated stars? lol...) But who knows, It might be easy to mod. Anyway, I agree that It's for
