I recently bought Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity, and was having a problem with the mouse being too sensitive and jumping around in the menu to where I couldn't reliably click on any option, it would jump past any button when I got near it. I did some digging and found people suggesting to disable Pointer Trails as well as Pointer Shadows, or enable default windows cursor.
