I stopped being able to run it in February. It updated today, and actually works again after a 6 month break. I guess while they were writing all that DLC they thought they would fix the main game at the same time. I've got hundreds of games over in my Steam account and never had a problem like this with any of them.
No log files. Oldest one is about 4 weeks old when it still worked. The vc_redist made no difference. Same result. Also installed on my laptop which has not had it on it, same result.
Was working last time I played, which was a couple of months ago. I assume I now have the new update, and it doesn't start, just get a popup box saying "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142) Click OK to close the application." Downloaded the test version and that is exactly the same. Tried rebooting as well.
