I still haven't seen Transformers though it seems it has been on the pay channels every day for the last 2 months.
It surprised me how good it actually was. I wasn't expecting much, and still get into it whenever my girl asks me to play it again.

Another tres humid day, but it was so much better because at least it was my day off. We went to the beach and were surprised to see it packed. Because of the late spring, I figured the lake waters would be way too cold to swim much, but no, it was simply the first perfect day of the season. I work tomorrow, and am booked for afternoons. Because its generally so bloody cold at work because of the aircon, I actually semi look forward to showing up. Our apartment is still pr

I had just finished my first call of the day when I got a citris server error. A typical result when pulling up info on the network, a big 'oh shit' when culled from my main program. 20 seconds later, it all came down. And when I say all, I mean ALL: Accounting program. Device tools. Network systems. Finally, what we all were dreaming for: the queue. I searched the drawers and came up with the daily newspaper, an old OK! magazine, and another glossy with a killer suduko puzzle.

Back on the night shift, and once again, I am both dreading and looking forward to it. Technically speaking, the night shift sucks because after a certain timeline, certain programs are shut down and we begin on back up mode. Nothing can get done for people in a hurry, and even though we have a backup program, its proper to advise that if we even try to d

I'll be honest about this: my town is simply a quiet, out of the way town. It's not huge and its pretty artsy as far as most communities go. Most alleys in the downtown core are even spruced up: brightly painted, clean patio areas in what usually would be dank, dreary and possibly dangerous. My hangout ain't pretty (random bottles, butts, and assorted trash items here and there) but like the majority of places it gets cleaned out on a very frequent basis. It's almost strange how clean

There's dirty houses, buildings, streets, and neighbourhoods, but nothing beats a good dirty alley. I don't have a whole list of streets in town to avoid, but like most towns, there's always a back alley with a discarded pair of underwear, a single shoe, and a bunch of random bottles, dead dry, of course. I literally hang out in one back alley on a regular basis, having been prohibited to loiter (ie: smoke) in either the front or side of the building of where I work. Bec

I agree with the others... this is an excellent example of great writing: informative, interesting and tight! Digital music is not just the future of music, it is the present as well. So true! Often, it seems like its made out to be a temporary thing, until certain laws are passed, until certain decisions are made, etc., but it's here, and it's not going to change anytime soon.

It feels like I've been on earlies for about 2 months now, though it's probably only been about 3 weeks. I start anywhere from between 6 to 7:30 in the morning, and it sucks the most as far as transportation goes; for example, tomorrow morning I have to cab it in because the earliest bus still hasn't hit the downtown terminal by the time I'm supposed to login. I took a couple of sick days this week as I had the stomach flu. Now, I'm not frivolous with my days off, but man, was it ever

the updates from facebook are both cool and annoying, and it all depends on what the poster is like. I don't need daily info about jr.'s bowel movements, but find it kinda amusing when someone can post something original about daily activities. Hit or miss, for sure.

I did my taxes in fine time, just a week before the deadline. Not worried about oweing considering the lame-oh amount of fundage I pulled in. I'm not going to get any back either, though, but hopefully the osap hounds will quit dogging me for a bit. The weather's been a beaut this past week with temps in the eighties, and even though its slowly getting cooler, I'm no longer frightened about another dump-on this year. We did get snow 2 days ago, for like seven seconds which melted befo

After 22 days without writing, you'd think I'd be chock full 'o stories and such, but nope, not really. Not much has been going on. A couple of weeks of just working, Saturday trips to the Farmer's Market, Sunday afternoons renting videos, and dinners for two at the kitchen table. My cooking skills are fairly adequate. The only thing that really limits me to branch out from a plain and predictable menu is my child who simply likes things plain and predictable.

"Crazy bastard!" Is the first thought in my head as soon as I opened the link. I think I was smiling as much as you were! Sure looked like fun. Crazy fun!

yeah. I think having articles with the first paragraph or two show up on front pages of user blogs would be a good idea, rather than the last paragraph or sentence. It's like only watching the first minute of a good movie (if the title draws you in) and the last ten minutes of one.

I don't know what it is, but I used to be able to feed Kole absolutely anything, and she wouldn't balk. Now, suddenly she doesn't like tomato sauces, cooked vegetables (except peas) or pretty much any type of meat. For awhile there, I was just serving everything plain. White rice. Bare pasta. Toast. Sliced, cold meat like chicken or turkey. It was boring for me until I started my dinner meal with fresh mushrooms, red, green and yellow peppers, onions, brocolli, cauliflower, and ce

-12 this morning; it was pretty damned cold, but it got warmer this afternoon. 3C. I wrote something the other day about having a crappy birthday... I couldn't go out and smoke a lotta cheap cigarettes, flirt wildly and shamelessly, or use my following day off just trying to work off a hangover by watching movies all day.(My girl's been sick with a cold and wanted me to just stay home with her instead). I actually feel kinda glad I didn't go out. Kinda. I'm still gy

Assemble it all and enjoy! My other favorite sandwich is a Fat Sandwich: whitebread, butter, mayo, with thick cheese slices.

Yeah, they have that effect on me too -them and upset Mexicans. Whenever someone at work vents about their last call, it always includes some mention about their American-ness. Not that where they're from has anything to do with it. Life IS a bitch, whether you're from the States, or any other country. It's the dealing with cellphones t

Another day off, but not really... After trying to lock 'em out of the apartment for part of the morning, the girls are back indoors and watching Alvin and the Chipmunks , which is probably the worst movie I've seen this year (including both Spiderwick and Jumper, movies that should have delivered a whole lot more.) I love Jason Lee, which is the only reason why I consented to be in the same room a

Week in and week out of speaking to upset Americans is bringing me down. I am calm and rational on the phone, and more often than not, truly understanding when customers vent at me. Yeah, life's a bitch, especially when you drop your newly purchased Blackberry in a mud puddle. It's even worse when you know that trying to save 5 bucks a month has now prevented you from filing an insurance claim that you never thought you'd need because you take such good care of your belongings
