The star trek mod i downloaded a couple of days ago it is pretty good i think the ships could have a little bit of work done to them but other then that it is a good mod...its in beta right now so help get it out!
Oh yeah sorry for the double post. But i think GC2 would be super awsome if you had the camera like you have it in ORB....how many people have played ORB? its awsome hehe what i'd liek to see 1. nice flowing camera movement 2. a ability to see the universe from a 3d view or a 2d view like in GC. 3. multiplayer would be nice...but drawn out? 4. a system where you can look at planets from a 3d view and pan around it. 5. HOLY COW this sounds very good is it still gonna be turn based or wil lyou have the option to make it like continuos (errrr bad spelling forgot ho to spell it 1am here) continuos turned base? liek in Fallout tatics (PC) where you can take turns or just have turns keep generating in real time makes the game seem almost real time but with a few draw backs of it isnt. Yeah good job with the game...but one thing....why when you just get out of a recession one turn later your back in? thats kinda annoying...
they are a pain but fun to mess around with if you keep your survey ship away for long enough it will stop going after it and instead just wander around the galaxy i had one almost distroy the torian's befor really early in the beginning of the game it was totally wiping the floor with them.
I useually pick Technoigist because if i have anything diffrent i useually get pummled into the ground quickly maybe someday i'll use something else =P But my perks useually inclued -Economy +30 or whatever it is - Pop grow. +10 (or the highest one) - creativeness +25 (or whatever it is) - influence +1 (i think) Then im heavy on the tech research for about all the way though the game while keeping my spending and taxes around 33-40% then to colo
AMM's come after you get dred tech and then they are right there with other military production (IE same place as where you'd go to build a ship)

Build things that will increase morale send your survey ship out to find anomilies some anomilies will increase your morale by like 5% and keep your tax rate between 30-45%
lol thats what i was doing in my game had alot of AMM's on auto attack or search and distroy i should say i think AMM's right now would be the most useful weapon if you where primarly defensive i had AMM's with attack ratings of 240-267

Thats a good idea but they are allied with the nly other major race they arnt at war with. They seem to be taking out primaryly me as i have the most influence in the galaxy but am also sort of weak military wise. So thats why im using AMM's to deal with them right now as it is taking forever to build drednaughts so AMM's will slowly dwendal there military might down to nothing.
Well this is my strat to deal with minor races that arnt so 'minor' anymore. AMM's and lots of em! Drednaughts (but AMM's take less time!) Keep them at war with other civ's while you slowly dwendal them down. and last but not least crush them with every weapon at your disposal. not very helpful huh? But thats how i do it and it seems to work err OK but you need to keep building those AMM's as i had 5 of em distroyed by a ship without them even fireing once =(
Yep the I-league is now rated the most powerful civ in my game err im 3rd so that makes me wanna kill them but its hard when it takes 3 AMM's to distroy one death knight =( sometimes it takes 1 to distroy it but not often so i'v made about 40 AMM's or so and set them all on auto attack so there are little "schools" of AMM's out there hunting down the I-league ships.
In my current game the i-league have built DK's im afriad as i have no capitol ships to counter them yet. a Minor race attacked me and took out my ranger that i got but only after it distroyed almost all of there ships.
Yeah maybe in one of the updates or something the I-league will be a major race. heh. But they shall die. Or i shall let them live and let them kill all the other major races except mine so i can win weeee!
its sopost to be a cap somewhere in the documentation it said "if you get over 25,000 in your treasurey then theres something wrong with your government" dunno why that'd be wrong but after 25,000 your sopost to have sever penaties.
yeah i played RA2 online (but only against AI's so in away not really online) and it was fun but hard as the AI beat the crap outta me the first time but i won in the end! muwah muwahahaha!
heh yeah well that bug isnt exactly fixed i got the TS to move more then one space it was weird. i didnt know it was a bug at the time though The ship i had it fleeted with was a avatar or however its spelled and the ship would move off by its self but then when the TS moved the ship would disappear and reappear once the TS stopped moving where the TS stopped at. The TS also had the same move turns as the avatar too.

yeah i was thinking about how that star wars game and galciv is sort of the same except in that game there is no way to win. If you do something the AI won't recruit the person you need to win this always happend to me gameply in that game was all about the AI getting the person you needed to win so instead i controled the whole galaxy (first time playing) game was easy but made me mad how they had it rigged. But being able to move in from 2d to 3d wit hthe camera was fun to watch the b
haha 67 i'd believe it would my 39 finished all my overlords pretty damn quickly its the reason i survived.
Yeah well i think some AI had a plan to explot the minors and his plan got out of hand they arnt powerful enough to take on me or any other remaining main race but im afriad in due time they will.
ha i used AMM's in my cakewalk game only used 2 or 3 and mainly for planet attacks on the AI i was at war with but i did have a thought about build a bunch of em and having a AMM party at the expense of the AI of course =)
