...and still leave the newbies (if there is such a thing for a game this "old")...
There are. I've been here a little over two months. Major Dallas just started playing last month. There (we hope) should be more with AP going gold. That's why fixing the perceived problems with the Metaverse is something that should be looked at.

I don't know if I agree on the cap on scores from levels lower than maso. If you can get a large score from playing a good game at a lower level, you should be able to keep it. I do strongly agree that the aging process needs fixed, and soon before the veterans all leave because their games don't count anymore.

That's a very open ended request. You might start by browsing the topics in the Strategy forum. http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GS If you have something more specific in mind, I or others here in the forum would be happy to help.

Looks like it's going to be a great game! Found a couple of problems: The game allows you to play as the same person as the computer. I just started a game with George W against George W. The computer player used some of my stamina, took (and raised) money from my campain, and gave me specials that he took. Also, the board started turning blue in every state that didn't receive a visit from either player each turn. I guess the cou
Incidentally, not having enough houses and hotels in the game box was intentional. You're not supposed to be able to build up every property.
Bah! What real estate tycoon would let a silly thing like the rules stop them? :D :D :D
From what i have observed over the past 6 months+ that is what tends to be the case. Obviously there are other factors in some peoples decisions too, and not everyone falls into that bracket. But i would bet money on the imaginary empire becoming no1 within 2 weeks of the launch of AP and an influx of new members
OK, so maybe I am beating a dead horse here... I agree that many of the new players would join based on a number one ranking, or a fast moving empire, o

As someone who joined since the forums were seperated, I can share my opinion. Basically, I would say "I figured it out". I submitted my scores to the Metaverse and saw the other players with their cool empire icons. I saw the post with the recruiting pitch sticked in the main forum. I even went to the empire forum and read many of the empires threads before choosing one. Perhaps some of the older, wiser heads can disagree with me, but I don't know that it's a real problem. Furthermore, th
Or, if you have cash and multiple transports and want to conserve troops, land one or two with Core Detonation and finish them off with conventional warfare.
One side effect of this that I noticed - as long as the first attack fails, you don't end up damaging the planet :) Or maybe I've just been lucky when I've tried it? Of course, sometimes you miscalculate and win on the first battle, and then you cream the planet :SURPRISED:
Do you mean the name when you go to submit your score? If you do, I know what you mean. I had a problem with that earlier. I don't know how to delete it off that screen. If you don't mean that, then could you rephrase it, and I know someone here will try to help.Glad to be of service.
I'll try to be a little more precise. After you win the game, you go to 1) the animation for winning, 2) the screen that shows your scores and accomplishments, then 3) a screen that asks yo

Hi, I was wondering if anyone ran across this before. I had a typo in my original name and alias. I managed to find on this forum how to fix almost all of the instances of the mispelled name, but it still haunts me in one place. On the metaverse submission screen, I have 2 aliases - and the mispelled one shows up first. I just sent my game score to never-never land *grrr!* because I forgot to change to the "right" name. Is there any way to delete it? Is it in an ini file or someth
