Hey guys, been playing Sins of a Solar Empire for awhile now and having completed several (very) long games I thought I'd finally chime in and give a few thoughts!
The first thing that comes to mind is that this game is awesome. I have been waiting since imperium galactica 2 for another game like this to come out! you have one guaranteed customer here guys

I know the universe and 3d settings are very complex etc and it's fine if the answer is no but will there be anymore improvements to the graphics ingame? When I zoom close on my cap ships for instance the graphics are nearly on par with homeworld 2, which was released a few years ago if I remember now! but I can understand fully if there will not be any graphics changes, the universe is huge and pretty complex, again great job on that!
Pirates...the bane of my life/game! these little buggers are right terrors

I think pirates are again, another fantastic idea and them being affected by the bounty system is excellent, although I think the pirates may want to be *slightly* toned down, late in the game I was getting attacked by over 20+ pillager class pirates! (Those are the guys that bomb your planets

) really hard to fend off.
Oh and I'm not sure if this is a bug but when I build a planet shield the radio dish side seems to actually spin away and the square end faces the planet, which likes kind of humorous/odd.
I fully agree with the people who say cap ships need to be researched, or if not at least limited until about 20 mins or so in game.
Will there be more effects ingame? like in homeworld 2 when a cap ship was badly damaged you would see textures painted onto there side showing a gaping hole with electrics showing and stuff like that, adds a LOT of realism imo!
Also will there be more options to change the graphics? I'm running a fairly powerful computer (5600, 4gig ram, 8800gts) and am hoping that this game is going to be the first to slow me down!
Also at any point will there be wreckages added (maybe not for smaller ships due to low end computers having trouble) for ships? I remember a mod for homeworld 2 that would add wreckage once a ship was destroyed, this *really* added realism to the game. The wreckaged was also salvageable, but thats just extra. I love the idea of wreckages being left from large ships, really adds to the realism, especially if the wreckage blocks pathing.
But thats just me ranting!
Right now the game I've been playing is only beta 2 and I'm hooked! thank you so much for this great game guys and I look forward to purchasing it when it's out!
