I've played about 40 games so far. The look is awsome. Mines are heading in the right direction. Starbases are shaping up into what a starbase by nature is..A huge construct of engineering dedicated to the engineers purpose. Death and destuction or trade and goverment. The new multi targeting system has been long needed for cap ships.
Flak: With the new multi-targeting will flak become a secondary counter for lrms?
Carriers: Esspecially advent seem to be a little op. This is also a 1.13 issue mainly. The new defenses with flak help alot if you fight within em.
Lfs: I like the new lfs all the way around. A good fleet staple now. There like flour in bread. Carriers are the yeast.
Lrms: Good balance hear as well. Light cheap or cheaper depending on race selection with a heavy punch. With good counters now. No longer the beast of the past.
Support Crusiers: I haven't noticed any crazy imbalances yet. What I have noticed is they do more of what their suppose to with me telling them. With the exception of the TEC Ceilo its targeting ability once reserched doesn't cast as often or when it even helps to good effect without a micromanage. Or cutting off the enpowerment ability.
Going to look closer at all the support crusiers.
HC's: Seem to be fulfilling there roll and no complaints here.
Game Speed: Could be an issue, but I think it will work out. You could start out in Entrenchment with your starting possition colinized. With 2 civ labs and 1 mil lab and a cap factory in place. Could jump start the situation a bit.
Overall a great step in the right direction.
