Wow, you spamtarded one unit and then got owned? Oh noez!!lawl
You fail at reading comprehension. This isnt Barrens chat.
Yes, you need to micro against subverters. Oh noes. You've obviously never played starcraft if you think this level of micro is a problem =p. And yes, it does cause losses even when you adopt countermeasures...Thats why subverters are a great unit...But then again, Vasari receive the short end of the stick in so many ways, they deserve a great support cruiser IMO... I do agree they needed a nerf, and they have received one in the beta (although its too big a nerf, IMO)...As people above d
NM, figured it out :)
Actually nm, just found the Reference Data TXT files.
A mod guide im reading says that the .entity files are text documents you open in notepad, and they start off with TXT at the top. But the same files I open are binary files (as nothing lines up) and start with BIN at the top. Was this changed in one of the patches? Whats the proceedure to edit these files now?
I would simply like to remove the Vasari Subverters from the game. Can a mod do that? If so can someone direct me how I go about it?
I have tried manually unclumping them. Its tedious and annoying to do as it has to be done repeatedly. It also causes losses while the ships stop shooting, turn around, move to a spot, stop, and turn around again to face the enemy.
Neat, thanks. Sounds like I should stop playing TEC as they are quite worthless.
In theory yes. In practice what ends up happening is that once all the subverters are dead, my ships clump up if they arent clumped up already as they are given targets to attack and at no time do they try to spread out again. So the enemy brings in reinforcements mid battle, and suddenly im getting ambushed by subverters again. All it takes is for me to miss 1 of those things coming in, or have it stealth through the mass of enemy ships and bam, my clump of ships is now a clump of useless ships
http://avenger.kirenet.com/~nexworks/sins2.jpg In that pic is one very long line of enemy ships. It starts off near their homeworld and travels directly across the star system to the other side, doing in 1 jump what should have taken 5. Am I missing something here?
Dude all you need is to throw in some Javelins and those subverters are toast. Just put them in a separate fleet and select both fleets and assign them to a group. They will have a hard time disabling those LRMs from that far away.
Killing them is not a problem. The problem is if I get 9 out of 10 killed in time, that 1 remaining one is still enough to take out all my front line ships and keep them disabled for long enough for the enemy to cause me severe losses. Rinse an
Not to be too blunt...But, YOU ARE A MORON.You spammed all HCs...Oh gosh...maybe if short range ships don't do well against your opponent, you could try something different...Ever thought of that? What about Javalis? Or do u just like to ignore obvious solutions and be a bitch on the forums?
Have you looked at that pic? See the two separate fleets? Short ranged ships group up at the front. Long range ships group up at the back. That does not change the fact that 1 ship ca
Not to put it bluntly, but you spammed one particular type of unit, and you payed for it. That's basically what happened.Mix in a few caps and subverters are nothing to worry about.
I have ALL my caps sitting behind those cruisers. That is 10 Kol Battleships, 2 Akkan Batltecruisers and 4 Dunov Battlecruisers. And yes those ships are targeting the subverters aswell, but they cannot take them all out at the same time, so some get close enough to disable my fleet, and since
5 patches later, the geniuses behind this game still think that 1 enemy ship should be able to defeat 50 TEC heavy cruisers. They are actual geniuses, because they created a ship that you know is dangerous, and yet you still ignore it and let it disable all of your ships.Congrats! Now if you'd actually care to stop whining for a little while, you can easily figure out that a) their disable radius is pretty narrow, so it's your own fault for clumping all yous ships together, b) they can't d
5 patches later, the geniuses behind this game still think that 1 enemy ship should be able to defeat 50 TEC heavy cruisers. See for yourself: http://avenger.kirenet.com/~nexworks/sins.jpg There sits my fleet of 50 heavy cruisers, unable to move, or shoot (and conventiantly they clump themselves together, even though their orde
BTW Subverters got massive nerf on this ability, so it would be harder to see than now.
Ok, good :)
Yes I am fighting the Vasari. It takes out my entire fleet. All ships disabled except for the capital ships at the very back. And it lasts such a long time that my 50 heavy cruiers get obliterated without getting more than a handful of kills. I have tried taking out all their Subverters but it still happens. And that cannon description says it targets structures only. It can be used against ships?
Ok so how do I kill their capital ships if my ships cant move or shoot? And when they can shoot, the capital ships shields and hull get repaired and restored faster than I can damage them.
Whenever im fighting non TEC enemies, my entire fleet gets disabled. All ships show in red: Abilities Disabled Phase Jump Disabled Sub-light main engines disabled Sub-light manouvering engines disabled Passive regeneration disabled Weapons disabled My fleet just sits there like a duck. I am guaranteed to lose unless I bring superior numbers and force the enemy to flee and then pick off their ships.
Ok 1.The large bubble is the Guardian ship it causes 33% of your damage to be spread amongst its ships (and 33% of your damage spread out isnt really that much damage).2.The reason why your ships arent attacking what you tell them to is because the advent have a captial ship ability that makes all enemy ships in a certain range attack it.
Well the damage spread was huge as their ships were regenerating their shields faster than my fleet could hurt them (thats 77 ships sho
I use 60 heavy cruisers, 5 battleships and 2 battlecruisers as my fleet makeup. Yes the ships are called the Iconus Guardian. I have tried killing them first and that seems to have made a significant difference. That however that still doesnt explain why inside the bubble my ships cannot shoot or follow orders. Im not talking about the secondary/side guns on the battleships. Im talking about their main guns and the heavy cruisers. They all just sit there, randomly shooting things, separate from
Well whatever it is, it makes this very large bubble in space with white'ish tentacles coming out of it. My ships in or anywhere near that cannot shoot, shoot very slowly, or down right shoot something they arent being told to shoot. Whatever this is it is extremely game breaking.
Playing on a large map, everything is fine until I attack one of the races who have the "crusader" ships. I have 7 battleships and 60 cruisers in my fleet. Their fleet is comparable. Now, cannot kill a single one of their ships. I cannot even get my ships to obey orders and actually shoot something. Not a single ship follows orders and targets what I tell it to target. Many ships dont shoot at all. I can move them fine, and they all shoot random things, but never my target. I cannot even kill th
