Yeah, the price point definitely hit the sweet spot. Guess I'll have to load up Sins and see how I feel about Trinity after a loooong absence :) Thanks! Edit : In case anyone is curious, I decided to buy, after having some fun in Sins. Don't know if this will be one of those "buy but never really play that much" things, but at that pricepoint, seems worth it :)

There's currently a steam sale on Rebellion for $13.59, which is finally low enough for me to consider buying it. Thing is... I got bored with Trinity after I'd played quite a few games. It's a good game, but after I'd thrashed the AI a good number of times, I started playing other games. Mods like Distant Stars did help to prolong its life. My question is... if I felt fatigued by Trinity, do you think Rebellion breaths enough life to make it fee

I can't speak for C&C or Supreme commander, because I haven't played them... But SC1's Brood War expansion, while it did add just a handful of new units, it also provided a lengthy single player campaign. SC2's Heart of the Swarm will do the same thing, and I suspect it'll be set for a $20-$30 pricepoint. It's true: Ironclad isn't promising the "ultimate gaming experience." With Diplomacy, quite literally, what they said was what we got. There was no fa

I bought Sins of a Solar Empire in February 2009 for $20. I had a lot of fun with it. Not long after, I picked up Entrenchment for $10. Had fun with that. Then Diplomacy was coming out, and there wasn't a whole lot of information on it, but I thought, "Hey! I'll preorder it anyway." I've only played diplomacy (or Sins, for that matter) a handful of times since then. Now it sounds like the same old story. Another relatively small tweak to the current game which will

Well, if pirates would just take one planet and not expand, I think that'd be good. Well, what I meant is that taking over a regular planet, even a well defended one, is easier than taking out the pirates, up until you have a crapload of upgrades. And a regular planet gives you resources and more cash than the pirates do. If taking over a pirate base meant you got some decent income, it would be worth it. Free ships? Sure. Bounty gets pai
