Wait... Dump tradeports? Why would you give up tradeports?
Upon entering the game, one team lost both of its players instantly and for no apparent reason.
That happens a lot on 1.0. It has never happened to me on 1.03+, so update. How long do you have each day? My friend and I can clear a Huge Random Map with 5 Star Systems in a few hours. You could try making a custom map with like 15-20 Star Systems and 1 player per his own star system with the AI at Hard... But I dont know if
Eh. In my experience, once the TEC got a good economy going, they can replace ships faster than anyone else. I find massive amounts of LRMs with Hoshikos and a few Cielos manage to kick almost any Advent navy's a**.
How about some stronger defensive platforms???e.g. A defence platform - weapons include combined gun/missile and hanger plus maybe others - repair, shield recharge etc...Obviously it will cost some, but would make a huge difference at a chokepoint. Should be able to handle a single cap or a number of small frigates by itself so you need 2-3 caps or 30+ frigates to take it down.Classic single player mentality. Chockeholding is lame, and this game was designed so that it is impossible for
Did you play the tutorial? Send a Colony Ship (Protev (TEC) , Missionary (Advent), or Migrator (Vasari) or an Akkan Battlecruiser (TEC), Progenitor Mothership (Advent) or Jarrassul Evacuator (Vasari) to the new planet and colonize it. It creates 1 Assembly Drone. If you upgrade infrastructure, it creates more drones. Play the tutorial.
I was almost beaten by an AI that took over my friend's empire. And he only left in the first 5 minutes of his game. This was in a 1v1v1 FFA match between 3 humans and one of the humans dropped out, if that is a factor in the difficulty of the AI. This AI was utterly destroying my frontier worlds. He couldnt possibly have been an Easy or Normal AI.
I was playing 1v1v1 FFA with 2 of my friends and one bugged out. His fleet was turned over to the AI. My friend and I ignored the AI and were blasting each other and out of nowhere, a deathfleet of AI ships that both me and my friend together couldnt match started attacking MY planets. I had to send in one of my fleets in a last bid attempt to take over his homeworld and end the game. If you are ever playing with an AI, NEVER ignore it.
A graph on who is in the best position to win.
Nice! Now we just need to make sure the Babylon 5, Star Wars, and BSG mods keep going along, and we'll have an awesome selection of mods for every cool show
Then we need an unbiased person balancing the game... Personally, I would make Trek the best, considering they can go a LOT faster than anything here in normal space...
And dont forget Returning Armada. Get that research and you get Free ships. A HELL of a lot of free ships. 3 Stabilizers/planet are useless unless you are using RA.
The Hoshiko/LRM combo worked out very well indeed.
This game was long drawn out (2hrs). I managed to max out the Novalith line of research (The one that also benefits the LRMs) and hull. And I built 1.5x as many LRMs as his ilums and then I beat him. But I need a better method. this took too long. I guess I didnt use nearly as many Hoshikos as I needed to, but how do you get a strong economy right off the bat??
Any...one?
I have seen Gas Giants, Terran, and Desert planets with them.
When me and my friend play, he ALWAYS spams ilums. 100% ilum army. What's the counter? as TEC?
EDIT: I found it. Thanks. How do I delete this? This isnta bout if RA is overpowered etc. Are there any changes in 1.05 to RA?
And if they did make a second film, what would they do? The best characters are either dead and the mystery behind River has been revealed. Maybe something on Sheperd? But who knows. I think they should leave the movie. Maybe continue the tv series up to the point when they know Mr.Univers. It's sort of like Star Wars, leave it while it's great. Don't tarnish the name.
Mr. Universe and Wash went to school together...
Well, that planet he attacked was right next to one that was tasked to making ships and I was making a bunch of LRMs and nothing else at the moment. My real fleets were far away. He had used a wormhole to get up close (stupid of me to not cover it...). His fleet was purely one Radiance and a fleet of Ilums.
ONLY illuminators and a radiance. I had 10 bomber squads, 80% allegiance on the planet and the previous force I mentioned. He didnt have strategy everything on autocast.
ok ill be the brave one and answer a retarded question which has never been asked before. Well idiot the reason stars are there is to give the game a sense of oh i dont know REALITY you since there wouldnt be any planets if there werent any stars you know they would never form or even exist in the first place and as for the research how about you look for the obvious answer on the research tree. Oh and how about you go back to first grade it looks like you missed some stuff. Mod edit: use
So... my friend and I are playing, k? and I am tec and he is Advent. He invades me with some 28 illuminators and a Radiance. I counter with a Kol and 35 LRMs. His illuminators are almost unupgraded. I have a novalith canon, so I have all those LRM upgrades. And I have shield and hull and the AoE attack upgrades as well. Guess who won? Him. Why??? This makes no sense!
This happens to me also. I think it has to do with the Fleet Management system. The fleet's followers follow the leader around.
My friend and I are going to do a US vs. Computer game. Can we use each other's phase stabilizers?
