Passionate story. I have to try Hegomonia after seeing this picture. A universal recession seems like a nice idea :0

Lots of inspiration. Some people here really buy a lot of games. How do you find the time to play all of them? Is there any TW game that was any good in terms of AI etc.?
Thank you all for the excellent advice and insights! Any suggestions on what hotkeys are a must-learn? I was a bit suprised to read that people usually only have one big fleet. Why don't people attack on two planets at the same time or need a separate fleet for defense purposes? Having one fleet busy on the other side of the map could leave you very exposed.
I'm only playing single player for the moment as I want to master the game before playing MP. I do, however, ask myself if this game becomes a major clickfest at higher difficulty levels or MP, when every special ability needs to be targeted perfectly to win battles, which means babysitting your fleets and special ability ships. Deciding which and when to use a particular ability seems time and energy consuming. How do you experienced players manage this when you have so much going on, e.g. 3
What's an "Egg"? I'm relatively new to the game and only play it SP (usually against 2 medium AI's, who always seem to gang up against me). My strategy (for what it is worth), it always to have a balanced fleet, also alligned against the opponent. usually I will have about 4-5 cap ships mid-late game: 2 in an attacking fleet, and 2 for defending purposes, which I combine with repair bays. I don't tend to buy that much cruisers. Do you guys use them a lot? It takes quite
I played mostly Sins, and also some chapters of Homeworld.
Why is this still sticky?
My top 7. I have the feeling some good games might be missing on your list. But I'm sticking to it: 1 Galactic Civilizations 2 + Expansions 2 Rome: Total War 3 Civilization 4 + Expansions 4 Sins of a Solar Empire 5 Homeworld 2 6 Left4Dead 7 Star Trek: Armada 2

"So I guess that you are more into the RTS part of space strategy games right? Armada 2526 is more for people that played Master of Orion 1, 2, Space Empires, Star Trek BOTF and the Galactic Civilizations series, i.e. the pure 4x space strategy afficionados. But if you like the 3D real-time battles and if you also liked to play pure 4x in the past than you should consider giving Armada 2526 a try. When properly patched it will be a great sucessor for the former titles." In fact, I lik
@adamsolo Thank you for the review. I have decided not to buy the game, but play Sins and homeworld instead. Have fun though.
China wrecked the Copenhagen deal, according to a journalist who was in the room with the heads of state: http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/dec/22/copenhagen-climate-change-mark-lynas
Sounds quite good to me, but couldn't you have done this faster than in 15 minutes? I'm not sure as I never time my games.
Have a look at this incredible article. Very interesting I must say. Here's a part: ( http://gizmodo.com/5426453/the-physics-of-space-battles ) "First, let me point out something that Ender's Game got right and something it got wrong. What it got right is the essentially three-dimensional nature of space combat, and how that would be fundamentally different from land, sea, and air combat. In principle, yes, yo
Is there any more accurate and updated description of the ships available?
Thank you for the video. I watched it when it was still possible to see it. I bought the game already, but haven't got the time to try it.
Thanks guys. I think have some excellent suggestions now!
I also pre-ordered it. I am not playing it yet though. Seems to become good, i.p. as I like better diplomacy. I hope the ai and combat will get more balanced as well.
Who knows any books that have the kind of Sins stories of huge space empires battling each other in space? Any good suggestions for authors and/or titles?
In most 4x tbs games you can give ships or even planets to other players. Maybe this is an interesting suggestion for Diplomacy as it concerns this subject. It can be effective for example if you want to win quickly by demanding planets from weaker players in return for a cease fire or help your allies by giving them ships if they are resource/logistics contraint. What do you think? Devs is this fairly easy to implement?
What exactly are the devs working at the moment in the beta? Are they improving AI as well?
Thank you. I found the answer. Which is that armor only applies to the hull and not to the shields (in contrast to shield mitigation).
Go to these post https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/370937 and read reply #27 and read how strong & epic capital ships can get at current game rules. It's amazing!
"FA is a stand alone expansion" Does it play better than the orginal? Did they optimise the game so that it consumes less system resources?
